Grow Charoennakhon Review: IconSiam's Hidden Brunch Gem in Bangkok

One of the highlights of my stay at Saan Hotel Sathorn was undoubtedly the private swimming pool and the fantastic ground-floor brunch cafe.

The cafe, named Grow Charoennakhon, truly stood out during my entire Bangkok trip. I honestly don't think any other spot could rival its ambiance and delicious food.

Grow Charoennakhon is conveniently located on the first floor of Saan Hotel. It's an easy 15-minute walk from IconSiam, and if you take the BTS Skytrain to Krung Thon Buri station, you'll be there in just about 5 minutes.

If you get the chance, I highly recommend staying at Saan Hotel Sathorn too. It feels like a brand-new hotel, incredibly clean, and I was genuinely surprised by how affordable it was. It's such an excellent place that I'd definitely want to return if I'm ever staying in the Sathorn area again.

Inside the Cafe

While hotel guests like myself are certainly drawn here, many local patrons also frequent the cafe, captivated by its inviting atmosphere, even if they aren't staying at the hotel.

Stepping inside, you instantly feel like you've entered a restaurant at a five-star hotel.

The Menu

Let's take a look at the menu. Just by glancing at their signature dishes, salads, and soups, you can get a sense of the high quality. Please note that these photos were taken when I visited in 2025, so prices might have slightly increased since then.

They offer a wide variety of Western dishes, including pizzas, sandwiches, burgers, and pasta.

I couldn't capture all the juices and desserts, but trust me, there's plenty to choose from. It's a great spot for just a quick coffee, or if you're hungry, pick from their extensive brunch menu.

The coffee here is excellent, and you can even purchase their beans separately if you wish.

Not wanting to just order one item, I added a pasta and a salad to my order. This cafe is tucked away one block from the main road, so there's hardly any traffic or motorbikes passing by. For someone like me, who often feels overwhelmed by Bangkok's traffic and noise, this quiet spot was a true sanctuary.

While I often opt for an American breakfast, something about the vibe here made me want to try something different.

Just look at those plump shrimp! The pasta delivered a superb flavor that perfectly matched the elegant ambiance.

And the salad? Absolutely flawless. The crispy croutons (or rusks, as they're sometimes called) complemented the fresh greens beautifully, and the savory cheese on top melted delightfully in my mouth. If the pasta and salad are this perfect, I'm confident that all their other menu items must be equally delicious.
