Ubud Private Taxi Tour 2026: A 6-Hour Bali Itinerary & Cost
Ubud's attractions are spread out, making a private taxi tour an excellent choice for exploring multiple spots. Discover my 6-hour Bali itinerary, costs, and booking tips!

Planning my Bali trip, I wanted to explore several attractions efficiently, so I opted for a private taxi tour.
Over approximately 6 hours, my itinerary included Tirta Empul Temple → Luwak Coffee Plantation → TIS Cafe → Jaens Spa Triloka Ubud.
Ubud's attractions are quite spread out, so if you're planning to visit more than just one or two spots, a private car is a fantastic option.
Let me share my firsthand experience with a Bali Ubud taxi tour, including the exact route, costs, and how to book.
Private Taxi Tour
Why I Booked It
Transportation was one of my biggest concerns in Ubud.
If you stay in a well-located hotel within Ubud town, ride-sharing apps like Grab or Gojek are usually sufficient.
However, many must-see attractions, cafes, and spas, especially around the Tegalalang Rice Terraces north of Ubud, are quite scattered. Visiting multiple spots means constant travel.

While you could use Grab or Gojek for each leg, I found that booking a private car for the entire day was far more convenient than constantly hailing taxis and waiting at each stop.
Bali is also known for sudden downpours, or 'skolls,' which can quickly complicate plans if you're caught without transport during your trip.
The biggest perk of a private taxi tour is the freedom to spend as much or as little time as you want at each location!
I wasn't particularly interested in Bali swings or rafting, so I curated a relaxed itinerary focusing on temples, a Luwak coffee plantation, and a day club with stunning rice terrace views.

My Actual Itinerary
Here's the actual itinerary I followed for my Bali Ubud private taxi tour:
Tirta Empul Temple

Luwak Coffee Plantation

TIS Cafe

Jaens Spa Triloka Ubud
Instead of just hopping from one attraction to another, I structured the tour to include a relaxing break at a day club and finished with a rejuvenating spa session.
Using the service for 6 hours, I felt it was a perfect blend of sightseeing and relaxation!
1. Tirta Empul Temple

Our first stop was the renowned Tirta Empul Temple, famous for its sacred spring water.
This was a must-visit for me in Bali, so it made perfect sense as the first stop on our Ubud taxi tour.

The temple's atmosphere is truly unique, and it offered a fascinating glimpse into Bali's traditional religious culture – definitely worth a visit!
It offered a completely different vibe than just visiting Ubud's cafes or resorts, truly making me feel like I was experiencing authentic Bali.

After exploring the temple, we headed to our next destination: the coffee plantation.
2. Satria Luwak Coffee Plantation
Next, we visited Satria Coffee Plantation, famous for its Luwak coffee.
I definitely wanted to try the famous Luwak coffee during my Bali trip, so I made sure to include it in the itinerary!

The Luwak civets were incredibly cute – much tamer than the mischievous monkeys at Monkey Forest! 😅

After touring the coffee plantation, you get to enjoy a free tasting of 13 different types of coffee and tea!
While you can purchase various souvenirs, including Luwak coffee beans, the prices were a bit steep, so I didn't buy any.

Since it's a popular tourist spot, there was no pressure to buy anything. I appreciated being able to enjoy the tasting, take photos, and spend my time freely without feeling obligated.
Highly recommended for coffee lovers!
3. TIS Cafe
After the coffee plantation, we stopped at TIS Cafe, renowned for its pool with stunning Tegalalang Rice Terrace views.
The most famous day club, Alas Harum, can get incredibly crowded, so we opted for the slightly more tranquil TIS Cafe and I was completely satisfied!

At TIS Cafe, you can use the pool whether you're there for the day club experience or simply having a meal.
Constantly moving between attractions can be tiring, so it was wonderful to relax here, enjoy a leisurely lunch, and even take a quick dip in the pool!

And let me tell you, the food was absolutely delicious!

If you prefer a more relaxed Ubud experience rather than constantly rushing around, I personally recommend mixing cultural sights with a cool cafe like this when planning your Ubud taxi tour itinerary.
4. Jaens Spa Triloka Ubud
Our final destination was Jaens Spa Triloka Ubud, a luxurious massage parlor located near the Monkey Forest!
Adding a spa session at the end was, personally, my favorite part of this Ubud taxi tour.

While I made sure to get a massage every day during my Bali trip,
this was by far the most luxurious and comfortable spa I visited, and I highly recommend it!
My husband and I enjoyed a 60-minute foot massage. The therapists were incredibly friendly, and the pressure was just perfect – I practically fell asleep on that cozy sofa!

Since our accommodation was also near the Monkey Forest, planning the spa as our last stop meant we could easily return to the hotel afterward.
If you're planning a private car tour in Ubud, I think ending your day with a spa treatment like we did is a fantastic idea!
Ubud Taxi Tour 6 Hours
VS Grab & Gojek
The total duration of our tour was approximately 6 hours.
We started around 10:00 AM and arrived at the massage parlor around 4:00 PM, making it a perfect half-day itinerary – not too long, not too short.
Moving between several locations, the biggest advantage was definitely not having to hail a separate car each time.
Our driver was always waiting for us right outside each attraction, allowing us to move directly to the next spot without any delays!

Also, while we were at TIS Cafe, the sky suddenly darkened, and sure enough, a tropical downpour hit.
Everyone else was scrambling to find taxis in the sudden rain, but we were able to comfortably hop into our pre-booked private car – it was such a relief!
On the flip side, if you plan to spend an entire day at a single day club like Alas Harum, or only visit one or two places in Ubud, then a 6-hour private taxi tour might not be necessary.
Bali Ubud Taxi Tour Cost
The cost for the Ubud private taxi tour I used was around $35 for 6 hours.
This price included the vehicle, fuel, and a private driver. Entry fees to attractions, as well as costs incurred at cafes or spas, were separate.
It's important to note that tour packages can vary significantly in terms of duration, vehicle type, pickup areas, and overtime charges, so always confirm the terms before booking.
Additionally, if you require a driver who speaks languages other than English (e.g., Japanese or Korean), there might be an extra charge.
I booked my tour through Trip.com, and they often offer discount coupons for new sign-ups, which can help you save money – definitely worth checking out!
