When I was planning my Bali trip and looking for accommodation, I really prioritized location and price to save some pennies.

I was on the hunt for a place that captured Ubud's unique vibe without breaking the bank, and that's how I stumbled upon this gem!

It feels like something out of a fairy tale, a place where even fairies might live, complete with a beautiful swimming pool.

Plus, you can book a night starting from the ~$74 range! It was such a satisfying stay that it's now one of my top Bali Ubud accommodation recommendations, so I'm excited to share my honest, 'paid-for-myself' review of this Ubud hotel.

1. Bali Ubud Accommodation Recommendation

Japa Suites opened in 2021, so it's relatively new and clean. What really won me over, though, was its incredibly convenient location for getting around Ubud town.

You can easily walk to the Monkey Forest, Ubud Royal Palace, Ubud Market, and even Starbucks! It was perfect for exploring the area without needing a car.

Best of all, some room types offer private pools, and you can book a stay starting from the ~$74 range per night! If value-for-money is high on your list for Ubud accommodation, this place is definitely worth checking out.

Prices vary slightly depending on the dates and booking platforms, ranging from around ~$67 to ~$111. So, I highly recommend checking for the best possible deal before you book!

What's more, all the staff were incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere was so welcoming right from check-in!!!

2. Bali Ubud Hotel Room

I arrived a little earlier than check-in, so I dropped off my luggage first and then took a stroll around Ubud Royal Palace and Starbucks.

Since the accommodation is so close to the town center, it was super convenient to pop out for a bit and then come back.

I arrived right on time for check-in, enjoyed a refreshing welcome tea, and finally, it was time to head to the room!!

The room I booked was a Pool Access Room.

Having an infinity pool right in front of the room made it incredibly easy to use, and there was a bit more space compared to a standard Deluxe Room.

A huge window right by the bed meant refreshing outdoor scenery streamed right in!

It looked like rooms offered either a garden view or a pool view, depending on your pick.

Inside the room, you'd find all the essentials: a TV, mini-fridge, electric kettle, coffee and tea supplies, a safe,

cozy bathrobes, and even some basic tableware.

Plus, they topped us up with two bottles of mineral water every single day!

Since we'd mentioned it was our honeymoon beforehand,

they really went all out! The bed was beautifully adorned with towels and roses,

and they even prepared a lovely bouquet. It made for such a heartwarming check-in experience.

As a welcome treat, they had fresh fruits ready,

and get this—a cake too!

The thoughtful service really stood out, especially when they even brought us simple snacks

in the evening.

When you consider all these little touches,

it really makes this place a fantastic value-for-money stay in Bali.

3. The Bathroom

The bathroom was kept impeccably clean and tidy, too!

They had all the basic amenities covered, from shampoo, conditioner, and body wash to even toothbrushes and toothpaste,

It meant I didn't have to lug around a ton of my own toiletries, which is always a bonus!

And here's a little detail that turned out to be super useful on our Bali adventure:

umbrellas were provided right in the room!

Ubud is known for its sudden downpours,

so having an umbrella ready to grab on our way out was incredibly convenient.

Since we were on a longer journey, we also took advantage of their laundry service.

By the middle of our trip, we had quite a pile of clothes,

so we mostly sent in our underwear and socks,

and to our delight, they came back freshly laundered and perfectly dry that same evening!

With a two-week stay planned in Bali,

having this kind of service was an absolute lifesaver.

4. A Budget-Friendly Gem in Bali

Honestly, my absolute favorite spot at Japa Suites

was the swimming pool.

There's one magnificent infinity pool and also a smaller, separate pool.

When I was there, it was practically deserted,

which meant I could truly relax and soak it all in without a crowd!

They even had a flamingo float ready,

so I hopped on and enjoyed some playtime while snapping a few memorable photos.

It was so nice to have the place to myself! 🙌🏻🙌🏻

Our accommodation also had a restaurant,

so we conveniently enjoyed a simple dinner right at the resort.

We ordered Bintang beer and Nasi Goreng, which are absolute must-haves in Bali,

along with some fries,

and it was perfect for a post-swim meal.

The staff were generally very friendly,

and they promptly responded to any requests we had.

Considering the price point, location, and room condition,

this accommodation is an excellent choice if you're looking for a great value hotel in Bali.

Especially if you're searching for a place with a pool in Ubud,

this could be your perfect budget-friendly stay in Ubud!!!
