A must-do on any Bali trip is getting a massage 💆🏻‍♀️

Especially in Seminyak, you'll find plenty of spas with a great ambiance,

so I highly recommend dedicating one day of your trip to a massage!

For this trip,

I experienced a Balinese massage at the Elysian Boutique Villa Resort Spa,

and it was such a satisfying experience that I just had to share it with you all 💚

1. Seminyak vs. Kuta Massage: Which is Better?

As you plan your Bali trip,

one of the biggest comparisons you'll likely make is between Seminyak vs. Kuta for massages!

Based on my personal experience,

I've put together a simple table to show you the differences between the two areas!

In a nutshell,

Seminyak focuses on luxury spas & ambiance,

while Kuta is all about value-for-money massages!

For this trip, I chose a Seminyak massage,

and while it's a bit pricier,

the quiet, private atmosphere and

immaculately clean facilities were definitely worth it!

If you're looking for true relaxation during your honeymoon,

I'd definitely recommend a Seminyak massage 👍🏻

a spa with a truly quiet and private ambiance!

I booked a 60-minute Balinese massage, which is great for promoting blood circulation and lymphatic flow!

If you book in advance via KKDAY before your trip,

you can enjoy it at a discounted price and at your preferred time,

which is super convenient 👍🏻

3. Elysian Boutique Villa Resort Spa

60-minute Balinese Massage Review

This spa is located within the Elysian Boutique Villa Resort.

From the moment we got out of the Grab and entered the resort,

it felt like stepping into nature, which was wonderful 🌿

When you tell the resort lobby staff that you have a massage reservation,

they kindly guide you toward the spa!

The spa's interior design had an overall warm and inviting atmosphere,

making me feel comfortable from the moment I stepped in.

Upon entering, there's a comfortable sofa area

where you can immediately enjoy a foot massage!

I loved that they seemed to take only one reservation per hour,

allowing us to have a quiet and private experience 👍🏻

As you sit on the sofa, while they prepare for your foot massage,

they serve a refreshing hibiscus welcome tea 🍵

Dipping my feet into the fragrant, warm water with roses and lemons

instantly melted away all the fatigue accumulated from a day of travel!

What was even better was that they didn't just give a foot massage;

they applied a sea salt scrub to care for my feet while providing the foot massage 💚

After the scrub, they applied peppermint gel,

allowing for a moisturizing finish to the foot massage!

I could really feel their thoughtful attention to detail.

Before the main massage began,

you can choose one of three massage oils:

✔️ Relaxing, Signature, or Revitalizing

They applied each oil to the back of my hand,

allowing me to smell them and choose my preferred massage oil.

I chose the Relaxing scent as it was my favorite!

The spa has two rooms,

so couples can enjoy a massage together in the same room,

or friends can opt for separate rooms!

The first room is a double room, which would be perfect for honeymooners or couples

to enjoy a massage together 💚

The second room was a single room, equipped with a bathtub,

giving it a strong vibe of a luxury resort spa 🛁

I visited with a friend,

so we decided to get our massages separately in our own rooms!

You change into the underwear provided in the basket,

put your belongings away, and then lie down.

What I received today was a 60-minute Balinese massage!

It's described as the most relaxing massage offered by the spa,

it promotes blood and lymph circulation and relieves stress.

The acupressure in the Balinese massage, using palms and thumbs,

was not too intense, just right, which made it incredibly comfortable.

It was a gentle massage, and I felt all my tension melt away.

The oil scent I chose was lovely, making the entire massage a truly healing experience!

I was so relaxed during the massage that I almost fell asleep,

and it felt like all the fatigue from my trip was released at once 👍🏻

As someone who got married last year, I think that after the wedding,

getting a massage like this on a honeymoon would be incredibly restorative 💚

After the massage, you can leave the oil on your body,

or rinse it off in the shower room within your private space!

I loved the oil scent, so I only lightly rinsed off with water.

Tipping for Balinese massages isn't strictly mandatory,

but as a gesture of gratitude when the service is truly excellent or friendly,

you can give around 10,000-20,000 Rupiah (~$1-~$2)!

After finishing both the massage and shower,

they prepared warm tea and cookies as a delightful finish 🍪🍵

Sitting on the comfortable sofa, I was thoroughly satisfied until the very end!
