Bintang Market Seminyak: Your Go-To for Bali Souvenirs & Snacks
Discover Bali's Bintang Market in Seminyak, your ultimate destination for authentic souvenirs, delicious local coffee, and crispy coconut chips. Plan your hassle-free shopping trip!

Your Essential Shopping Guide for Bali's Bintang Market!
Nestled in Seminyak, close to Bali Airport,
you'll discover Bintang Market – an absolute gem
for all your souvenir and gift shopping!
From aromatic Balinese coffee to crunchy coconut chips and delicious dried mangoes,
you can grab everything you need in one convenient spot.
Talk about a time-saver!
It’s spacious and noticeably tidier than many other spots,
making it a fantastic recommendation for anyone looking
to shop on Bali's western side.
1. Bintang Market Seminyak: Your Guide to Location & Opening Hours!

Bintang Market is conveniently located about a 10-minute taxi ride
from the beautiful Seminyak Beach.
While you *could* walk, I highly recommend hopping in a taxi!
Bali's sidewalks aren't always the best,
and if you walk as a tourist,
you might find yourself bombarded by enthusiastic taxi touts – and trust me, it can be quite intense!
Since taxi fares are super affordable,
I definitely suggest calling a Grab car for a hassle-free ride.

The market is open
from 7:30 AM
to 10:00 PM, giving you plenty of time to explore at your leisure.
📍 Bintang Supermarket Seminyak
Jl. Raya Seminyak No.17, Seminyak, Kec. Kuta, Kabupaten Badung, Bali 80361, Indonesia

The atmosphere feels much like a bustling local supermarket.
Beyond amazing souvenirs like coffee, coconut chips, and Bintang beer,
you’ll also find everyday essentials, fresh fruits, and groceries,
which explains why so many locals shop here too!
Whenever I travel, one of my favorite things to do is explore local supermarkets and markets,
and Bintang Market perfectly fit that bill.
I absolutely loved it! 😉
2. Your Ultimate Bali Shopping List!

💛 Bali Coffee: A Taste of Paradise!
If you're ever pondering what souvenirs or gifts to bring back from your Bali adventure,
look no further than coffee – it's a stellar choice!
As one of the world's most renowned coffee-producing nations,
Bali boasts an incredibly diverse array of coffee beans.
At Bintang Market,
you’ll find a fantastic selection, ranging from delightful everyday brews
to the legendary Luwak coffee.

No need to venture out to specific, often pricey coffee plantations;
Bintang Market offers a wonderful selection of high-quality beans and freshly brewed coffee
right at your fingertips.
*Regular Coffee Beans*
Approximately 50,000 Rupiah per 100g
*Luwak Coffee Beans*
Approximately 100,000 Rupiah and up per 100g

While Luwak coffee might be 2-3 times pricier than regular coffee,
it's still significantly more affordable than what you’d find in many other markets.
So, grab some Luwak coffee in convenient drip bags or powder form –
it makes for an absolutely perfect gift for your loved ones! :)

💛 Coconut Chips: Your Tropical Snack Fix!
And speaking of edible delights, my top recommendation for your shopping list
has to be coconut chips!
Having traveled to Bali 3 times,
among all the snacks I've tried,
this one was the most delicious.
It's one of those shopping list items I always make sure to fill my basket with
whenever I go!

Compared to coconut chips from other Southeast Asian countries
like Thailand or Vietnam, these are thinner and crispier,
giving them a great texture, and they're not too sweet, which I love!

And while the original is delicious,
their signature chocolate flavor
is even better!
They're a bit pricey compared to Bali's general cost of living,
but the more you stock up,
the less you'll regret it. 😉

💛 Garlic Peanuts
Next to the coconut chips,
these are the nuts I highly recommend.
They're a snack even the locals love to munch on,
and you'll see everyone grabbing armfuls of these
garlic peanuts when they visit a Bali supermarket.

The red bag is the iconic one,
and with the garlic aroma infused into the peanuts,
they're even more savory and delicious than regular peanuts.
They're also perfect for a late-night snack with a Bintang beer
at your accommodation during your trip.
Definitely worth adding to your Bali shopping list.
They're a great pick-up.
Since they're vacuum-packed,
they're super easy to pack in your suitcase.

💛 Yava Granola
Yava Granola is another popular souvenir that many travelers seek out
at Bali's Bintang Mart.
While it's on the pricier side,
it feels luxurious and tastes fantastic!
You can eat it as is,
or it's even more delicious when added to yogurt or milk.

What's more, other nuts from Yava,
like their cashews or other varieties,
are also quite delicious.

💛 Mi Goreng
You can find it easily in Korea too,
but if you buy it locally, you can get Indonesia's representative instant noodles, Mi Goreng,
for around ~$0 per pack!
For the original size, you'd need to eat two
to feel full, but I love that Bintang Market
has jumbo sizes. Haha!

💛 Honey
Since Bali is a tropical region,
honey products are also quite famous here.
Madu Enak honey comes in luxurious bottle packaging,
making it a perfect gift.
Since honey is a liquid,
if it's over 100ml, you'll need to check it
in your luggage!

💛 Bali Chocolate (Not Recommended)
Oh, and these Bali chocolates with Bali pictures on them?
Definitely not recommended.
They just don't taste good.
They're actually quite pricey, too.
But honestly, they were worse than the cheap "junk food" chocolates
I used to buy as a kid in elementary school...

Instead of buying those,
I'd recommend grabbing a different souvenir
or another type of chocolate instead.

💛 Capsule Hair Essence
Ellips capsule-type hair essence is super convenient for travel
because each capsule contains just enough for one use.
Since the water quality in Southeast Asia isn't always the best,
these types of hair products are often really good.
Just one application of Ellips hair essence makes your hair soft and lovely.
Besides Ellips, Miranda also offers
great quality.

💛 Mosquito Repellent
Portable and effective
mosquito repellent – Sofell!
It was one of my best purchases, a true lifesaver that I kept
spraying throughout my trip.

💛 Other Souvenirs
Besides these snacks,
you can also find simple Bali souvenirs like magnets and keyrings.
In fact, magnets of similar quality to what I saw at Ubud Market
were much cheaper here, LOL.
For those who aren't keen on
haggling at markets, I definitely recommend buying at Bintang Market.

Nuts recommended and shared by our local guide
during the East Bali tour.
The top one was salty seasoned peanuts,
and the bottom was a nutty snack similar to
roasted black soybeans ('seoritae bokkeum'),
both savory and delicious! :)
If you're a fan of nuts,
definitely add these to your basket.
3. My Bintang Market Bali Review

So, this wraps up my shopping list from Seminyak Bintang Market,
a spot I stopped by during my Bali trip.
If you're staying in the west like Seminyak or Kuta,
Bali Bintang Market is conveniently located and the store is clean,
making it a great place to browse!

If I were to go back,
I'd definitely buy coffee, coconut chips, and garlic peanuts –
those three are a must-have!
It's even fun just to look around, so if you're staying in this area,
I highly recommend visiting during your trip.
I hope this helps you have a wonderful journey~
