Typically, many travelers opt for the Bali Visa On Arrival (VOA) upon landing. However, once you arrive, you'll notice the lines are usually divided.
It looks something like this:
The VOA (Visa On Arrival) queue, applied for at the airport, is on the left.
The E-VOA (Electronic Visa On Arrival) queue, applied for in advance, is on the right.

The queue on the right is for E-VOA holders. While situations can vary, the E-VOA line is generally much faster.

Yes, a visa is indeed a requirement for entry into Bali, making it a crucial Bali entry condition. The good news is that you can obtain it upon arrival, but applying in advance is often more efficient.
If you choose to apply for your E-VOA in advance, you'll receive the final document via email. Simply present this document upon arrival. A smart traveler's tip: always take a screenshot or print a copy just in case you lose internet access!
To apply for your Bali Visa On Arrival (E-VOA), you can do so through the official E-VOA website.
The final essential document for your Indonesian entry, or more specifically, your Bali entry, is the customs declaration. Similar to the visa, you can complete this upon arrival, but we highly recommend doing it beforehand.

You can complete the electronic customs declaration (e-CD) via the link above. It's available starting three days before your arrival.
Once completed, you'll receive a QR code. This QR code is what you'll present when you clear Indonesian customs.
