Airport Pickup Tour: My Honest Review
Following my arrival review at Bali Airport from Cheongju,
here's my honest review of the Bali Mount Batur Jeep Tour,
which was the immediate start of my trip.
Before my Bali trip, I really wanted to do a jeep tour,
so I researched and compared various companies.
Bali Jeep Tour Comparison and Booking Review
Since I arrived in the early morning and the tour started right away,
I didn't want to expend more energy and wanted to be comfortable.
So I chose Klook, which offered a Korean-speaking guide and was more reasonably priced than other tours.
I chose and booked a tour that was perfect for me!

If you're planning a jeep tour in Bali,
the early morning departure can be quite a burden.
So, if your flight arrives in the early morning,
I highly recommend a jeep tour that starts directly from the airport!
Personally, I had zero confidence waking up at the hotel in the early morning
and getting ready for the tour. Haha!

Bali Denpasar Airport - Klook Pickup Zone

As soon as I arrived at Bali Ngurah Rai Airport,
I headed straight to the Klook pickup zone.
After exiting the immigration hall and walking straight towards the exit,
you'll find a meeting point that feels like a private lounge,
where Klook staff are gathered.
I thought, 'Oh, this is really well-organized!',
and as I was about to take a photo, I made eye contact with a staff member inside,
who immediately struck a pose for me! Hahaha!
ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
Balinese people are so friendly and charming! 🤣

When I told them I had a Klook jeep tour reservation,
the staff at the outer booth told me to wait inside for my guide to arrive,
so I went in and rested.
There were plenty of tables and even beanbag sofas, making it a great place to rest briefly
after an early morning arrival.
It was truly comfortable.
(I was impressed from the very start of the trip!)

Arriving in the early morning, I was feeling peckish and wondered what to eat.
I looked for some food options at Bali Airport,
but because of the early hour, most shops were closed,
and even finding a burger was difficult.
Luckily, I could get cup noodles at the Klook pickup zone.
I bought the ramen recommended by a staff member
and satisfied my hunger for a bit.
A Klook staff member kindly prepared the cup noodles
and brought them to my seat, so I could comfortably
enjoy Bali's ramen.
(It was a bit different from the spiciness of Korean ramen, but still good!)

While waiting at the pickup zone,
my guide arrived right on time,
and I met them immediately.
Since the guide was fluent in Korean,
the tour started comfortably from the get-go! :)
They helped load all my luggage, and the car's air conditioning was super strong,
so the ride to Mount Batur was pleasant throughout.

Comfortably leaving the airport in a private vehicle,
we traveled for about an hour towards Mount Batur.
Upon arriving near the entrance to Mount Batur,
a jeep was already waiting for us.
There was a restroom at the transfer point for the jeep,
so we made a quick stop before switching vehicles
and began our ascent up the mountain.
(If you needed a blanket, you could rent one with cash.)
It's tricky to find restrooms on the mountain, so I highly recommend going beforehand!
Bali Jeep Tour - Mount Batur
Riding in the jeep through the pitch-black night sky,
we steadily climbed towards the mountain peak.
The mountain path wasn't smooth, so it was a truly bumpy ride!
You quickly understand why a jeep is necessary for this climb.
As we continued up the winding path,
the air was fresh, and the breeze was invigorating.
The entire jeep ride was incredibly exhilarating!
The steep sections were absolutely thrilling!

We parked at a prime spot near the summit and waited.
It looked like the road was terraced,
allowing jeeps to park neatly.
The night view of Bali from Mount Batur was so stunning,
that even just waiting was a healing experience.

Bali's night sky was a true work of art.
Even just casually snapping photos with my phone,
we saw countless stars! ⭐💫
These were stars you truly can't see in Korea,
making it an absolutely mesmerizing night sky.
It felt like gazing right into the Milky Way!
(It's even more spectacular in person, trust me!)

Our guides set up special lighting in the dark night sky
and enthusiastically took photos for us.
Worried about poses? No worries at all!
Our guide even taught us all the best poses, haha!
We used flash to capture some beautiful shots ✌️.
The stars and the jeep in the background looked amazing.
* Bali Jeep Tour Tip!
While it might vary depending on your travel dates,
the temperature on Mount Batur is lower than in downtown Bali.
I recommend bringing a jacket or renting a blanket.
I was a bit worried it might be cold high up on the mountain,
but it wasn't too chilly. Wearing a sweatshirt felt just right.
(Travel date: late November)
If you're sensitive to cold, definitely consider renting a blanket or bringing an outer layer.

While taking photos, a snack was provided midway.
We could choose between a sandwich or ramen, I think.
Ramen eaten outdoors is a universal rule, so ramen it was!
They prepared ramen and even warm tea for us,
and we ate it sitting on top of the jeep.
Wow, it was just heavenly! 😂
While maybe not quite like Korean ramen,
it suited our taste perfectly, and on a slightly chilly day,
ramen simply couldn't taste bad, haha!

Between taking photos and eating ramen,
before we knew it, the sun gradually rose and brightened the sky.
Watching the sunrise was such a joy!

The view as the sun was almost fully risen
was absolutely breathtaking!! 👍👍
If you stand on the jeep and take a photo with the rising sun,
you're guaranteed to get an epic shot for life.

The jeeps gathered together looked so cute that I had to snap a photo!
It really made me realize how incredibly popular jeep tours are in Bali.
It's truly a sought-after Bali destination for a reason!

Once the sun had fully risen and the sky brightened,
we made sure to get a shot of our own jeep.
Our white SUZUKI looked absolutely fantastic! 👍
Our guide kept taking photos of us with the sun as a backdrop,
and honestly, they were practically a professional snapshot photographer!
Bali Jeep Tour - Black Lava

After enthusiastically taking photos at Mount Batur, we moved on to the nearby
Black Lava site.
The ground was truly covered in basalt rocks.
Another shot with the majestic Mount Batur in the distance.

The more I looked at the jeep, the prettier it seemed! Haha.
The weather was perfect, making it an amazing day for the tour!
Bali Jeep Tour - Akasa Cafe

After truly filling my photo album for the first time in ages,
we headed to Akasa Cafe.
Following the cafe staff's guidance, we found an empty spot
and sat down to an absolutely breathtaking, open natural view~
It was a truly authentic, healing view that felt like pure nature 💫

We each ordered a drink and sat back to relax,
and it was such a blissful, healing moment.
The cafe also had various photo spots,
so many people were busy capturing memories.
Having the cafe included in the jeep tour package meant
the tour was perfect, right down to the final relaxing stop.
This Bali tour was truly wonderful from start to finish,
so I'm leaving this review of my own money-spent experience!!!
P.S. We had a lot of time before hotel check-in,
so I asked our guide if we could also do Bali Swing and rafting.
They immediately arranged it for us!
(So friendly and their Korean was excellent~)
Looking back, our day was quite packed... haha.
