Traditional taxis were quickly off the table for me. In most of Southeast Asia, Grab is my go-to, but I'd heard that in Bali, there's sometimes a preference for Gojek, or even a bit of local resistance to Grab in certain areas.

All told, we were about 90 minutes late meeting our driver, but he waited patiently for us without any issues.

What truly impressed me was his unwavering kindness and patience; he didn't show an ounce of frustration despite the long wait. It really cemented my feeling that booking the Bali airport pickup was the absolute best decision.
