Azad Siwa Hotel
ⓒ Where to, Yeong?

I bet most of you visiting Siwa, Egypt
are making the journey to experience the breathtaking salt lakes and desert tours.
In Siwa, it is very common to book your tours directly through your accommodation,

We were searching for a clean and comfortable hotel in Siwa that could handle everything at once—
from station pickups and tour bookings to a delicious breakfast.
And for just around ~$38 a night,
we found a brand-new hotel built in 2024 that absolutely stole our hearts.

We messaged the hotel right before our arrival,
and they came to pick us up from the Siwa Bus Station!

they were kind enough to arrange an early check-in for us.
They even carried all our heavy suitcases up to our room,
making the whole check-in process incredibly smooth and stress-free.

We booked our tours right at the front desk during check-in,
which made things so much more convenient since we didn't have to search for external operators.
We were also able to customize our schedule:
we booked the Desert Tour for the afternoon of our check-in day,
and the Salt Lake Tour for the following morning.
🛏 Inside Azad Siwa Hotel - Room Tour

As soon as we stepped into our room,
we were thrilled to see that it looked exactly like the official photos.
Since it's a brand-new hotel built in 2024, the facilities were incredibly fresh and clean.
The entire room was immaculately tidy,
and the warm lighting created a cozy, relaxing atmosphere perfect for unwinding.
The bathroom was also spotlessly clean, which totally won me over! ❤️🔥

We were assigned a room on the second floor,
and the garden view from our private balcony was absolutely lovely.
We even had a gorgeous view of the desert stretching out in the distance.

Also, when you do the Salt Lake Tour, you'll need to dry your swimwear
and towels completely before packing them back into your suitcase.
Having a drying rack right on the balcony
was such a thoughtful, practical touch that we really appreciated.

While our second-floor room came with a balcony,
the first-floor rooms had cozy patio seating areas right outside their doors.
Before and after their tours, we often saw other guests
sitting out there, chatting and relaxing,
and it looked incredibly peaceful and inviting.
🏜 Outside Azad Siwa Hotel - Exterior & Common Areas

The hotel's exterior featured a beautiful design that offered a distinctly Egyptian vibe,
with plenty of cozy lounge spots where guests could sit back and soak in the atmosphere.

The tents decorated with Egypt's signature patterned fabrics
really seemed to elevate the hotel's unique, exotic atmosphere.

What I especially loved about this place
was having a garden view in the front and a desert view in the back,
which let us fully soak in the unique charm of Siwa!

As we set off for our desert tour, the sunlight turned a beautiful tangerine color,
making the hotel building look even more magical.
Even though we were staying right in the middle of the desert,
it felt incredibly cozy and welcoming.

At night, the garden lit up beautifully,
and with flowers blooming all around, it was the perfect spot to just sit and relax.
🍳 Breakfast in Siwa
The morning after our tour,
we headed down to the hotel restaurant for breakfast.
The restaurant is located right to the left of the 1st-floor entrance.
As the owner was strolling through the yard, he spotted us
and personally guided us to our table.

Once we sat down, they served us water first,
and I grabbed a cup of warm coffee from the drink bar nearby.
(No ice, though... 😂)

After a short wait, our breakfast was served,
brought right to our table.
The breakfast consisted of:
an omelet, french fries,
salad, and traditional Egyptian bread.
It was simple but surprisingly filling!

Especially out of everything,
the french fries were absolutely amazing!
Since they were freshly fried,
they were the definition of crispy on the outside, soft on the inside.
My friend and I kept talking about them throughout our trip:
"Honestly, those Siwa french fries were the best thing ever..."
That's how good they were!

We stuffed the traditional Egyptian flatbread (often called *aish baladi*)
with the omelet and salad,
and the combination worked so well!
It made for a highly satisfying breakfast.
💛 Why I Recommend Azad Siwa Hotel
While the facilities, breakfast, and tours were all fantastic,
the absolute best part of this hotel was
the genuine hospitality of the owner.
When we went on our tour, he came out to the front of the hotel,
packed us plenty of bottled water, and sent us off with a warm smile.
On our checkout day,
he told us we could keep resting in our room
until our bus back to Cairo arrived,
and he even drove us all the way to the bus terminal.
Thinking back,
it was such an incredibly heartwarming gesture.
