For this Bali trip, I hopped around staying in
Canggu - Seminyak - Nusa Dua,
experiencing the unique vibes of each area.
Let me introduce you to the stunning 5-star resort
where I stayed during my time in Nusa Dua:
"The Apurva Kempinski" hotel.

📍 The Apurva Kempinski Bali
Jl. Raya Nusa Dua Selatan No.4, Benoa, Kec. Kuta Sel., Kabupaten Badung, Bali 80361 Indonesia
Southern Bali (Jimbaran, Uluwatu, Nusa Dua)
has a completely different atmosphere compared to Canggu and Seminyak.
It's packed with luxury resorts and 5-star hotels,
making it a highly popular destination for
honeymooners, couples, and families
who prefer a quieter, more serene getaway.
Out of all the options, I chose
"The Apurva Kempinski Bali" in Nusa Dua.
Honestly, I booked it because I fell head over heels for just one single photo.

It was this spectacular night view that completely won me over!

✅ Resort Facilities & Amenities
✔️ Various Dining Restaurants
(Chinese, Japanese, Western, and a rooftop bar)
✔️ Beach Club
✔️ Beachfront Activities
right in front of the hotel
(Camel riding, kayaking, canoeing, paddleboarding, etc.)
✔️ Diverse on-site amenities
(Gym, spa, lounge, etc.)
The Apurva Kempinski offers
so many incredible things to do right within the resort
that we didn't plan any outside activities
for our last 3 days and 2 nights in Bali.
We mostly just relaxed and spent our time enjoying the hotel.
I'll post a detailed review of all the different
facilities and amenities very soon!
Since it's a 5-star hotel,
the price is on the higher side,
but with so much to enjoy inside the resort,
it felt 100% worth every penny.
+ Rooms usually go for ~$512 to ~$768 on average,
but I booked it for just ~$256! I'll share the booking link
at the end of this post :)
Kempinski Check-In
The lobby at the Kempinski is absolutely massive.
Compared to other hotels,
it had a much grander and more authentic Balinese feel.

We were served refreshing welcome tea and cold hand towels while we waited.
When our turn came, we headed over to the counter to check in.
While we were checking in,
the staff member suddenly asked if we were from Korea
and started speaking incredibly fluent Korean!
It turned out they had studied in Korea before.
That instantly made us feel so much more comfortable and welcome.
Official check-in is at 3:00 PM, but since we arrived early,
we were able to get an early check-in.
However, I had requested twin beds in my booking,
and it seemed like that request hadn't been processed yet.
When I requested twin beds during check-in,
they told me they would set up a twin-bed room and let me know,
so we had to wait for quite a while.
But once we finally saw the room,
we completely understood why it took so long!
I'll explain that in more detail below, haha.
Grand Deluxe Ocean Court Room Tour

As soon as you open the door, there's a handy luggage storage area on the left,
and on the right, a cozy living area setup with a sofa and a table.

They had prepared fresh fruit, peanuts,
and a traditional Balinese dessert set as a welcome treat.
The dessert set was surprisingly delicious!
I didn't try the peanuts myself, but my companion said they were great.

Here are the twin beds we requested,
and right across from the bedroom is the bathroom & toilet.

This is the twin bed setup
that took some extra time to prepare.
It wasn't just two beds pushed apart;
they actually installed a beautiful partition,
almost like a business-class flight cabin!
Seeing this, we instantly understood why it took a bit of time to get ready.
If you're traveling with a friend,
If you're someone who doesn't sleep well in a double bed,
and you request a twin bed room at the Kempinski,
they come partitioned like that
and I slept like an absolute baby!

There's a table on one side,
which was pretty convenient for getting some light work done.

The cabinet below the TV houses a coffee machine, electric kettle,
and all sorts of tableware and tea bags.
Kempinski Bali Bathroom & Restroom

When I travel,
one of the most crucial elements of room condition is the bathroom.
And the absolute showstopper of The Apurva Kempinski
is definitely the bathroom.
I was totally head over heels the moment I opened the door!!

Sliding open the wooden door from the bedroom
reveals the bathtub, shower area, and toilet.
Usually, hotels separate these spaces with just glass doors,
which can be a bit awkward if you're sensitive about bathroom privacy.
But at Kempinski, they are completely separate rooms,
which I absolutely loved.

Having double sinks made it so convenient to use,
and since you have to be careful of 'Bali Belly,'
they provide bottled water specifically for brushing your teeth.

The shower room is on the left and the toilet is on the right,
neatly partitioned.
You can also swap in your own shower head filter!

The vanity amenities
are stored inside a gorgeous mother-of-pearl box.
You can really tell they paid attention to every little detail.

There are plenty of towels,
and even a weight scale (haha).
Since we worked out every day,
we actually got a lot of use out of it!

When you lie down in the tub, right at eye level,
there's a beautifully landscaped floral arrangement.
While the flowers serve as a lovely decoration from the inside,
from the outside, they also block the view inside,
nicely protecting your privacy.
Though I still rolled the blinds down when I showered!
Even though amenities are set up in the shower area as well,
having them set up right by the tub like this
felt incredibly thoughtful.
TIP!!
I love taking half-body baths,
so to prepare for a relaxing soak,
I contacted The Apurva Kempinski directly beforehand,
and they said using bath bombs/salts is totally fine!
But... I totally forgot to bring them... oops.
If you're a bath lover,
make sure you pack your favorite bath products!
Ocean Court, Grand Deluxe Room Terrace

The Apurva Kempinski Bali's
Ocean Court rooms have wonderfully spacious terraces.
To let you relax on the balcony,
there's a large, comfy sofa,
and on the opposite side, you can dry your swimsuits.
It is technically a pool view,
but because of the dense trees in front,
you can't see the pool clearly.
However, because it's not overly exposed,
it actually felt nice and private.
Looking to the left from our building,
we could catch a view of the main building.
The night view is gorgeous too,
so it's great for enjoying a quiet night on the terrace
(though, watch out for mosquitoes!!).
How to Book The Apurva Kempinski Bali
@calm__mood_
Since The Apurva Kempinski Bali
is a luxury 5-star hotel,
the nightly room rate is on the higher side.
Typically around the ~$512 to ~$768 range,
and it climbs even higher during peak seasons.
Maybe that's why
there were noticeably many families,
couples, and honeymooners.
At first, because of the price,
we were thinking of staying elsewhere,
but I did some intense searching,
found the lowest rate, and managed to secure a stay in the ~$256 range per night.
So we booked it!
From booking all the way up until our trip...
When I checked other sites, I noticed
the prices sometimes jumped up to almost double!
But if you do a little digging online,
you can stay in the exact same room
for a much better price than anyone else.
Based on today's rates,
I did another search under the same conditions
and left the best deal link for you below.

If you're planning a getaway to Nusa Dua, Bali,
I highly recommend "The Apurva Kempinski Bali."
Make sure you book through the link to get the absolute best rate!
*Prices may vary depending on your travel dates and booking conditions.

The beds aren't just separated; a partition is installed between them, similar to business class on an airplane. This allows you to enjoy a comfortable, independent sleeping space, even when traveling with a companion.
You can enjoy a variety of activities right at the beach in front of the hotel, including camel riding, kayaking, canoeing, and paddleboarding. With so many facilities and activities on-site, you can have a fulfilling stay without needing to plan excursions outside the hotel.
Yes, we have confirmed with the hotel that you can use personal bath products in the bathtub. If you enjoy taking a relaxing bath, we recommend bringing your own bath bombs or salts when you visit.
The average nightly rate is usually between ~$512 and ~$768, though prices may increase during peak seasons. However, depending on how and when you book, it is possible to find stays for around ~$256.
