we made sure to enjoy breakfast every single morning.
We had both of our breakfasts at the beautiful Pala Restaurant.
Breakfast at Kempinski Bali @ Pala Restaurant
Let's dive right in!
Breakfast Venue & Info

@ Pala Restaurant, 1st Floor
⏱️ Breakfast Hours: Daily 06:30 AM - 10:30 AM
✔️ Wait Times: We arrived just after 8:00 AM after a quick workout,
and there was no wait on both days!

Pala Restaurant
is also open for dinner!
So if you happen to miss breakfast,
visiting for dinner is a great way to experience a whole different vibe.
Breakfast Buffet Selection

The Kempinski Bali breakfast is served buffet-style,
featuring a fantastic variety of categories to choose from!
Korean Station

I was pleasantly surprised to see a familiar "Bibimbap" station!
Kempinski must be really popular with Korean travelers.
Since I prefer to dive into local flavors when I travel,
I skipped the Bibimbap this time.
Western Station

They had a wide array of western dishes and an egg station.
The omelet was so delicious, I had it twice!
Asian & Local Cuisine

With a great variety of Asian favorites and
a dedicated Balinese local food corner,
if you're a culinary adventurer like me,
you'll definitely want to try the authentic Balinese dishes!
Bakery & Desserts

They had pita bread and
traditional Balinese desserts.
Let's tell you, those Balinese desserts are amazing!
They are wonderfully chewy and perfectly sweet—
absolutely delicious.

The brown bread-like one tasted like a sweet manju.
The white one had a sweet red bean paste-like filling inside and was delightful.
The green one had a crepe-like wrap on the outside,
filled with a crispy, kataifi-like texture,
and a sweet, sugary taste.
All three of them were incredible!

There's a great selection of pancakes and waffles, complete with a variety of jams.
The bakery section is also packed with options!

Out of all the baked goods,
the "Pain au Chocolat" was definitely my favorite.
The pita bread was a bit disappointing compared to my expectations,
but if I weren't so full, I could have easily eaten two of those Pains au Chocolat!

You can also customize your own yogurt bowl.
Just tell the staff which toppings you'd like,
and they'll whip up a fresh yogurt bowl for you on the spot.
Since the plain yogurt itself has zero sugar,
make sure to add some honey at the end! It's a must!
Main Dishes

When you first sit down, the staff will bring you a menu,
and you can order one main dish separately.
You can also order your drinks in advance, and they’ll bring them to your table.
The coffee at the Kempinski breakfast is absolutely delicious!
On the first day, I ordered the Eggs Benedict, and it was so good.

And here's how I kicked off my first round! haha

On the second day, I wanted to try a different main dish,
something light and comforting for the morning.
So, I ordered the "Chawanmushi" (Japanese steamed egg custard),
and as a huge fan of seaweed and eggs, I loved it.
The kelp flavor is a bit strong,
but it was absolutely perfect for starting the morning gently.

I had another hearty breakfast on day two!
The omelet was so delicious that I had to get it again.

Even though I already had coffee, I ordered one more
and asked for it to go.
They served it in a takeaway cup just like this.
I booked my entire 2-night stay
with breakfast included,
and secured a room with breakfast in the ~$256 range per night.

Kempinski Bali Breakfast Review & Thoughts
First of all, the breakfast restaurant
is well-divided into different stations,
which means you don't get tangled up in crowds or long lines.
It was incredibly comfortable to use.
The staff were also super friendly and welcoming.
The food tasted great,
and I loved being able to try local Balinese dishes.
They even have a Bibimbap station for Korean travelers,
so I think families traveling together will be really satisfied.
The only minor thing is that if the variety were just a touch wider,
it would be absolutely perfect.
Of course, I didn't even get to try everything,
but having a few more options to choose from would be awesome.
Tips for Enjoying Your Breakfast!!
✔️ Best Time to Visit
On both days, I headed down after a morning workout,
getting there around 8:00 AM to 8:30 AM.
There was absolutely no wait, and we walked right in.
Both times, we got the exact seats we wanted!
I think this is the sweet spot when the early birds are starting to leave.
✔️ Recommended Seating

Before dining at Pala Restaurant,
I saw this spot from the outside and thought the vibe looked amazing,
so we chose this outdoor seating on our first day.

It’s completely open-air with no windows,
so you can listen to the running water and birds chirping.
A gentle breeze made it lovely,
but since the morning sun was beaming directly in,
the staff kindly lowered the blinds for us like this.
Also, because it is outdoors,
it can get a bit warm. That's why they have
fans placed at every table.
I don't mind the heat too much,
but if you're sensitive to warm weather, I'd highly recommend sitting indoors!

This is where we sat when we visited the breakfast restaurant
on our second day.
We mentioned we wanted a table facing the pool,
and luckily, the table right at the end was open!
So we got to enjoy our breakfast from the very front row of the pool view.
Since it was indoors, it wasn't hot at all, and we loved just staring out at the water.
It was absolutely wonderful.
If you visit Pala Restaurant for breakfast,
be sure to ask for a pool-view table if there's one available!
