A Closer Look at Yokohama APA Hotel
Why We Chose This Amazing Hotel
1. Its prime location, super close to Yokohama's 📍major tourist attractions!
2. A true urban oasis: It boasts a hot spring bath♨️ right inside the hotel, even in the bustling city center!
3. Fantastic in-house 🏪convenience facilities that make your stay a breeze.
4. Imagine waking up to rooms with breathtaking views of Yokohama's iconic 🎡Ferris wheel and the sparkling sea!
First Glimpse: The Hotel Lobby

The first thing that surprised me when I walked into the lobby was how much it felt like an airport check-in counter!

Given the high number of tourists, this efficient setup was incredibly convenient. While self-entering information might seem a bit daunting at first, the helpful counter staff were on hand to assist, making the process smooth and hassle-free!

A Glimpse Inside: Our Room 🕊️

The rooms aren't huge, but that's typical for a Japanese business hotel. In fact, the size was pretty comparable to other popular business hotel chains like Toyoko Inn.

There's a clever space under the bed to tuck away your luggage,
and they even have a helpful diagram to show you how!

You'll find convenient power outlets and USB ports right between the beds, perfect for charging all your gadgets!
Room View 🕊️

✅
Standard Twin Room - Harbor View, High Floor - Non-smoking Room
[When selecting the view based on Booking.com]
Not all rooms have an ocean view,
so I opted for a harbor view, which cost a little extra.

🎡
From the room, I had a direct view of the sea harbor, and of course, the much-anticipated
Ferris Wheel view!

Unfortunately, when lying flat on the bed,
the view was more of the harbor than the Ferris wheel itself,

but if you leaned against the window, the Ferris wheel was perfectly visible! 🩵🧡

There's even a cable car in front of the Ferris wheel!
If I get the chance next time, I'd love to ride the cable car too. 🥺

From inside the room, you can also spot Yokohama's iconic attraction,
Akarenga Soko (Red Brick Warehouse)! ~
🚶♀️
It's about a 7-minute walk, so it's super close to the hotel.

The night view was also amazing, so I kept watching the Ferris wheel spin around.
I was in a complete Ferris wheel trance!

Amenities 🕊️

Opposite the bed, there's a TV. It was super convenient because it displayed the Wi-Fi password, the operating hours for the large onsen bath, and even the current crowding level inside the bath!

You'll find two bottles of mineral water in your room,
and coffee and tea are also waiting for you.

You'll also find an air purifier, a mini-fridge, and slippers,

And yes, yukata are also provided!
Initially, I couldn't find a yukata,
and just saw the top robe, so I was like, 'Hmm, where's the rest?'

But then I took the elevator
and saw other guests rocking their yukata,
so I zipped back to my room and had a rummage around,
it was in the drawer! 😉

The Bathroom

Now, the bathroom wasn't huge, but honestly, I didn't mind too much since I was planning to hit up the awesome onsen public bath anyway!

Inside the bathroom, you'll find a great selection of amenities: disposable toothbrushes and toothpaste, cotton swabs, towels, razors,
cotton pads, hair ties, and more!

head on over to the hot springs!

and bring a body towel.

The hot spring area features both indoor and outdoor baths,
allowing you to enjoy a hot spring experience even in the city!
From a hot spring enthusiast's perspective, while the hot spring quality might not be described as exceptional, it was certainly enough to relieve fatigue after exploring the city, and the outdoor bath was more spacious than I expected.
