① Anumana Ubud Hotel Location & Reasons for Choosing

✔ Address: Jl. Monkey Forest, Ubud, Kecamatan Ubud, Kabupaten Gianyar, Bali 80571
✔ Less than a 5-minute walk to Monkey Forest
✔ Right next to Pison Restaurant and Cocomart
✔ Close to Lumeria Yoga Studio
✔ 24-hour check-in available
I chose the Anumana Ubud Hotel as my first night's accommodation for a late-night arrival,
and the biggest reason was that 24-hour check-in is available.
If you're just looking for a place to sleep before moving on the next day,
it's the perfect spot for its location and value.

But beyond that, with its amazing value for money,
excellent room condition, refreshing pool, convenient location,
and breakfast where you can choose your main dish—
if I hadn't been leaving Ubud,
it would have been a fantastic hotel to stay for 2-3 nights.

A quick tip! The monkeys from Monkey Forest sometimes
come down near the hotel. Make sure to keep your balcony door locked!
② Airport Pickup Service

Arriving late at night at Bali Airport means
it can be exhausting trying to hail a Grab or haggle with taxi drivers.

This time, I decided to use an airport pickup service.

If you're worried about delays, I highly recommend booking an option where they wait until the end.
I was delayed by an hour and arrived past midnight, yet
the driver kindly waited for me the whole time.
Plus, real-time communication via WhatsApp meant I felt completely at ease
the entire way out of the airport.

Since we traveled late at night,
traffic was light, and it only took an hour to get to Ubud.
*Note: During heavy traffic, it can take up to 2 hours.
While we didn't encounter this,
the taxi fare typically includes the airport fee,
so if anyone asks for an additional payment,
be sure to firmly state that the price is already all-inclusive.
③ Room & Pool Review

✔ Check-in method: Card key (changed from traditional key)
✔ Air conditioning: Chilly as soon as I entered, a definite win!
✔ Bed: Generous size, ample for two people
✔ Terrace: Lush green garden and forest view
✔ Smart TV available
I heard it used to be a key system,
but it was recently changed to a card system.
The card has a monkey drawing,
which I found quite cute!

Inside the room, you'll find a hanger, bathrobe, and kettle
as standard amenities.
Step out onto the balcony and you'll overlook the swimming pool.
It's designed to offer a great view of it.

Even the balcony sign
has a warning about monkeys,
which I thought added to the hotel's ambiance,
making it feel even more authentically Ubud.

The bathroom features an open-concept shower.
With the sink as the focal point,
the toilet is on one side and the shower area is on the other.

Since it's an open-style shower booth, water tends to splash out a bit,
but the drainage works quickly and well,
so it wasn't a major inconvenience.
Recently in Bali, there have been many incidents of showerheads being damaged
while replacing shower filters,
so most hotels prohibit it.
Anumana didn't have a separate notice,
so if you want to bring one, it seems fine.

The swimming pool is visible from the balcony,
and the view from the terrace seats is beautiful too.
It's the perfect size for a quick dip or a relaxing break during the day.
④ Breakfast Review

Breakfast at Anumana Ubud Hotel is
a menu-based ordering system,
and you can also grab bread, fruits, salads,
and drinks from the self-service bar.

I ordered Mie Goreng and Eggs Benedict.
I requested the Mie Goreng to be spicy,
and they made it perfectly spicy, just right for Korean palates.
It was spicy even for breakfast, and it hit the spot!

The Eggs Benedict was quite interesting;
instead of poached eggs, it had soft-boiled eggs prepared by lightly frying them.
At first, it was unfamiliar, but I actually found the texture richer and really enjoyed it.
I preferred this version!

With dozens of monkeys roaming wild in the forest,
and a Hindu temple nestled within,
the atmosphere itself is truly unique.
You can visit right after checking out and dropping off your luggage,
or head there early in the morning after breakfast –
it's a perfectly manageable distance.
Monkeys might snatch your glasses, hats, or sunglasses.
Please be careful!

Pison Restaurant
This famous cafe and restaurant in Ubud
is within walking distance of Anumana Ubud Hotel,
and a wait of at least 30 minutes is usually expected.
Seats fill up quickly even during dinner hours,
so plan for a wait of 30 minutes or more.
Its popularity is well-deserved, and the food was quite good!
While you're waiting, exploring or doing some shopping
at the nearby Cocomart is a great way
to make good use of your time.
Pison tends to be busier in the evening than at lunch,
so arriving early will help you beat the queue.

Lumeria Yoga Studio
It's a short walk from Anumana Ubud Hotel,
and you can even pop into Cocomart on your way there or back.
Ubud is known as the most famous area in Bali
for its yoga and wellness scene.
Since Lumeria Yoga Studio is conveniently located near the hotel,
attending an early morning class before filling the rest of your day
is a truly Ubud-style way to experience your trip.
It's a good idea to check the class schedule and availability
in advance, but walk-ins are also welcome.
Just make sure to arrive at least 20 minutes before the class begins
to secure your spot and avoid it being fully booked.

Cocomart
Just a 3-minute walk from Anumana Ubud Hotel,
this is the perfect supermarket to grab your Bali souvenirs.
You can find coconut chips, Luwak coffee,
popular local snacks, hair essence, and more –
all available for purchase right here.
cheaper than Canggu or Seminyak,
I bought everything here all at once.
⑥ Good places to know in case of emergency

Unicare Clinic Ubud
✔ Address: Jl. Raya Pengosekan No.88, Banjar Tegal Kelod, Kecamatan Ubud, Kabupaten Gianyar, Bali 80571
✔ Open 24 hours
✔ You can inquire in advance and receive insurance documents via WhatsApp
This is the clinic to visit if you suspect Bali belly
or have an upset stomach.
People also go here if they get bitten by a monkey.
They perform a test to identify the cause before prescribing treatment,
so I was able to get an accurate prescription.
Plus, you can receive insurance documents afterwards via WhatsApp,
which I heard makes it easy to process traveler's insurance claims.
It's especially foreigner-friendly. If you suspect Bali belly symptoms,
don't hesitate, go straight there.
It's a really good idea to save this information about the Bali belly clinic in Ubud,
as you might need it throughout your Ubud trip.

Anumana Ubud Hotel is right next to the Monkey Forest,
so after checking out, you can store your luggage and start sightseeing right away.
Pison and Coco Supermarket are also within walking distance.
If you arrange airport pickup in advance,
you won't have to worry even if your flight is delayed.
And with Lumeria Yoga nearby,
it was truly a perfect location for our first night in Ubud.
In the next post, I'll continue to share about my Ubud trip.
If you follow along, you'll get notified right away.
Have a safe and wonderful trip to Bali!
