Amiana Resort Cam Ranh Poolside Restaurant Review

When planning a family getaway to Nha Trang, choosing the right resort in Cam Ranh is always exciting. But one major question always pops up: What are we going to eat?

Since most Cam Ranh resorts are located close to the airport and relatively secluded from the main city center, you end up spending most of your time on property. This means resort dining quality can truly make or break your vacation experience.

I had the exact same concerns when planning a large family trip with my in-laws.

For this trip, we checked into the gorgeous Amiana Resort Cam Ranh. Honestly, the rooms, the pools, and the service were absolutely spectacular—well beyond our expectations.

However, our lunch experience at the poolside restaurant left us with mixed feelings. While incredibly convenient, the taste and value-for-money fell a bit short.

The Poolside Restaurant is situated right in the center of the main swimming pool. This makes it incredibly easy to grab a bite to eat without interrupting your pool day.

You can dine in your wet swimwear, which is a massive plus if you are traveling with kids or elderly parents who do not want the hassle of changing back into dry clothes just for lunch.

We stopped by around 2:00 PM, well past the lunch rush, so the restaurant was pleasantly quiet.

The biggest selling point here is the seamless transition from swimming to dining.

Our family loved that we didn't have to trek back to our rooms to change. However, when the food arrived, we realized the quality didn't quite match the premium resort price tag.

A Quick Tip Before You Order:

The restaurant offers combo deals, such as a pizza and a soft drink, or a burger and a beer.

But keep an eye on the individual item prices! Depending on which pizza you choose, ordering à la carte can actually be cheaper than the combo. Definitely do a quick price comparison before placing your order.

The Pizza Review (Combo: ~$16)

We ordered the highest-priced options: the Four-Cheese Pizza and the Marinara Pizza.

To be completely honest, they fell short of expectations. The crust was hard and cracker-like, lacking that chewy, freshly-baked texture you expect from a resort restaurant. It tasted more like a reheated frozen pizza.

The cheese was underwhelmingly mild, and the toppings felt basic.

Interestingly, the Marinara Pizza, which is cheaper à la carte, tasted much better than the Four-Cheese. The bright, tangy tomato sauce saved the day, and our family gravitated toward this one.

However, if you are a pizza lover looking for a authentic wood-fired slice, you might want to skip these.

Classic Burger at Amiana Resort Cam Ranh

The Burger Review (Combo: ~$14)

Next up, we tried the Chicken Burger and the Classic Burger.

Compared to the pizza, these were a massive upgrade. The patties were juicy enough, and the buns were nice and soft—perfect for a post-swim refuel.

While they won't compete with your favorite gourmet burger joint back home, they definitely offered better value than the pizza.

Our family enjoyed the burgers much more. If we were to dine here again, we would definitely stick to the burger options.

Note: The burger combo normally includes a beer, but the staff was happy to let us swap them out for soft drinks!

One great feature is that they happily package your leftovers. We took our remaining pizza slices and burgers back to our room, which made for a perfect late-night snack.

The portions are quite generous, so keep that in mind if you are ordering for a family.

To sum it up: do not come here expecting a world-class culinary journey or incredible value.

However, if you want to keep the pool vibes going and need a quick, hassle-free meal, it is a very convenient option.

For families with young kids or older relatives, the convenience of not having to dry off, change, and walk back to the room is worth the trade-off.

Interestingly, one of our favorite spots ended up being A-Mart, the on-site convenience store.

The next day, we grabbed some cup noodles and quick snacks from A-Mart and enjoyed them near the pool. It was incredibly budget-friendly, fun, and honestly, super satisfying!

Who is this spot best for?

We recommend it if:

- You are on a family resort vacation with kids and want zero-fuss dining.

- You want a quick meal without interrupting your pool day.

- You are happy with a simple burger and a cold drink.

We suggest skipping it if:

- Food quality and value-for-money are your top priorities.

- You are expecting high-quality, artisanal wood-fired pizza.

Overall, our stay at Amiana Resort Cam Ranh was absolutely wonderful. The rooms, pools, and service were top-tier, and I would gladly return with my family in a heartbeat.

While the poolside restaurant didn't blow us away, knowing what to order (stick to the burgers!) or utilizing A-Mart makes managing your meals easy.
