Given the unique characteristics of the Asakusa area,
instead of sleek, brand-new buildings,
most buildings tend to have some age to them.
But what if I told you about a place that completed its renovation in 2025?
Asakusa's super fresh, newly renovated hotel:
It's none other than the Amanek Hotel!
And in Asakusa,
you'll find two branches: Ekimae and Asakusa Sakurabashi.
The Ekimae branch boasts an absolutely fantastic location,
while Sakurabashi is still relatively undiscovered – perfect for those who want to be pioneers and explore a brand-new hotel!

How to get there from Narita Airport
From Narita Airport,
you can take the Keisei Main Line or Skyliner
directly to Asakusa.
The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from Asakusa Station.
Or, if you hop on bus number 42,
there's a bus stop conveniently located right in front of the hotel,
making it super easy to get around!
As you walk from Asakusa Station to the hotel,
the Tokyo Skytree is visible at a glance,
allowing you to soak in the joy of your journey every step of the way.
(Just a little tip, though: if you're planning a longer stay,
the novelty might just wear off a bit,
so keep that in mind, haha!)

The Amanek Asakusa Sakurabashi Hotel is currently available for booking
starting from around ~$69 per night!

I booked this hotel in a bit of a rush,
and Tokyo is always bustling with tourists.
Plus, with the BTS concert (Tokyo Dome sold out!),
there was a major "no hotels in Tokyo" situation!
Even guesthouses and capsule hotels were costing more than a regular hotel night,
and amidst all that chaos, I managed to stumble upon
the Amanek Asakusa Sakurabashi.
There were hardly any Korean reviews, so naturally,
I had my fair share of doubts.
But to cut to the chase, I was absolutely satisfied!
I personally booked it for around ~$138 per night,
(if the price had been just a little bit lower...)
it would have been an even more satisfying hotel.

While it's a little bit away from Asakusa Station and Sensoji Temple,
it's situated on a tranquil road,
and I actually loved how quiet it was.
A lobby with high ceilings!
The floor's vibrant green hue makes you want to...
swim~ swim~
...just swim, swim, swim!
Arrived a little earlier than 3 PM,
and while waiting for check-in on the sofa,
the sofa was so comfy I almost melted away,,
Luggage storage is also available,
and although he was Japanese,
the male staff member spoke Korean so fluently
that I was surprised.
The 1st floor is the lobby and reception.
The 2nd floor is the lounge.
With a total of 96 rooms from the 3rd to 10th floor,
it's not huge, but
it's the charming Amanek.
Bus #42 right in front of the hotel.
Since I'm sharing the timetable too,
for those who find walking a hassle,
enjoy the convenience of the bus!
Although they kindly guide you during check-in,

Standard Twin Room Guide
We used a Standard Twin Room
with two single beds.
The view outside the window was a city view with nothing much to see (more like a rooftop view),
so I didn't open the window separately,
and for safety reasons,
the window also cannot be fully opened or closed.
A great spot for late-night snacks,
there's also a mini table.
However, since it's right below the TV,
TV viewing is impossible.
Although it's a twin bed,
the beds are so close together
you'll build some seriously close friendships!
A bathroom and shower room with a Japanese business hotel aesthetic.
Even the room key
is eco-friendly!
After checking in and dropping off my luggage,
I quickly headed out,,
I explored Sensoji Temple,
The one without a ticket,,
Well, I failed to sneak into Tokyo Dome
(Just kidding, lol!)
Trudging along...

You'll find it by heading up the stairs next to the 1st-floor reception,
the lounge!
Available 24 hours a day,
Welcome drinks!
They have a lovely drink zone.
Coffee, matcha lattes, and various teas
are all ready for you!
On the 3rd floor, you'll find a microwave, water dispenser, vending machine, ice machine, and
a washing machine, among other amenities.
Feel free to use them all!
(Though I do wish there was bottled water in each room... just a thought!)
Breakfast is available from 6:30 AM!

Oh, it's so bright and shiny!
No, no, no, no, no~
Just confirm your room number at the entrance,
and then you're all set to enjoy a relaxed breakfast.
While the breakfast menu might not be super diverse or extravagant,
it definitely offers great value for money.
It's a complimentary breakfast after all,
and it fills you up perfectly before heading out to explore, right?
They even have children's utensils available!
Rolled omelet, grilled mackerel –
these are Japanese breakfast staples!
You can even savor a taste of local culture with
Kaminari Okoshi!
There's also a surprisingly good variety of breads,
perfect for when you need a little sugar boost!
Yogurt is available too,
and for fruit, they have oranges ready.
Coffee, juice, fruit, yogurt, bread, Hayashi rice,
miso soup, salad –
quite the breakfast lineup indeed!
Even when there's 'nothing' to eat, I still manage two plates –
that's how I roll, like a true pro!
Oh, wait... make that one more plate, please!
On the lounge TV news,
I saw BTS performing at Tokyo Dome,
and for a moment, I felt that familiar pang of sadness for not having tickets.
This was breakfast on day 2.
I had a light meal, hehe!

Distance from the station
(Not recommended if you have a lot of luggage)
No bottled water, must use the water dispenser.
Other than that, I couldn't really
find any other notable drawbacks.
Overall, a very satisfying hotel!

The lounge on the 2nd floor offers 24-hour welcome drinks (coffee, matcha latte, various teas). On the 3rd floor, you can conveniently use facilities such as a microwave, water dispenser, vending machines, ice machine, and washing machines.
