When it comes to booking accommodation in Nha Trang, the very first question that often pops up is
whether to stay in the bustling city center or the serene Cam Ranh area.

Ideal for those prioritizing sightseeing and gourmet food adventures.
✔️ Cam Ranh Area Accommodation
Perfect for travelers whose main goal is swimming and pure relaxation.
If sightseeing and culinary delights are your top priorities, the city center is wonderfully convenient.
However, if your ideal trip involves unwinding by the pool or at a waterpark and
truly soaking in the resort experience itself,
then the Cam Ranh area is where you'll find higher satisfaction.
For my trip, I chose to **book accommodation in the Cam Ranh area** with relaxation as my primary goal,
specifically opting for
**Alma Resort Cam Ranh Nha Trang** due to its proximity to Cam Ranh International Airport!
I made my decision after reading reviews highlighting that all rooms in the resort boast ocean views,
there's a fantastic waterpark on-site, and it's
particularly safe with many family-oriented guests :)
I originally booked my stay for around ~$159 per night.
However, looking up accommodations now,
it seems the prices have become even more affordable since then!

Nha Trang Alma Resort Cam Ranh

The very first thing I noticed upon arriving at Alma Resort was
just how incredibly vast its scale was, much bigger than I'd expected.
It's not just a collection of accommodation buildings;
it's more like a small village, with swimming pools, a water park, a private beach, restaurants,
a mini-mart, and all sorts of other amenities grouped together.
Since the resort is so expansive, we used buggies to get around.
It can actually be quite tiring to walk, especially when moving between different swimming pools,
so taking a buggy made it much more comfortable.
There's also a mini-mart within the resort,
which was perfect for grabbing water, snacks, or any necessities.
However, according to the 2026 accommodation guidelines I checked,
outside food is not permitted,
and external delivery services, including Grab,
cannot be used.
So, instead of thinking about delivery,
I recommend making the most of the resort's mini-mart, restaurants, or room service!
Terrace Ocean View Suite Room Condition
The accommodation I was assigned was room 1435,
a Terrace Ocean View Suite.
The moment I stepped inside, I was struck by how incredibly spacious it was!
My jaw literally dropped.
There were even two bathrooms, and what I particularly loved was that the bedroom and living room weren't just lumped into one space;
they were actually quite separated.
The room itself was absolutely pristine!
The kitchen had a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee machine, and the bathroom even had a separate bathtub and shower area,
which made it super convenient for families.
In the past, when I stayed with family in studio-style rooms,
if one person went to sleep, everyone had to turn off the lights.
But here, with the divided spaces, it was much more comfortable.
Plus, there was a central table,
perfect for spreading out and enjoying food bought from the mini-mart!
True to its name, 'Terrace Ocean View Suite,'
it was wonderful to be able to see the ocean right from the room.
Alma Resort itself boasts an ocean view concept for all its rooms,
and there's really nothing quite like waking up in a holiday destination, opening the curtains,
and gazing out at the sea in the morning.
However, if you have sensitive skin or hair,
I highly recommend bringing a filter shower head!!!!!!
While the room itself was truly spotless,
I felt that the water might be a concern for those with sensitive skin or hair.
You can find shower filters at many places these days, like Coupang or Daiso,
so you can pick one up pretty much anywhere.
For years, I've personally been using the convenient, portable Puresome Mini,
just buying extra refills!

A travel shower filter isn't
much of a burden to pack in your suitcase,
which is why I always make sure to bring one whenever I travel!
Pool Review
One of the biggest advantages of Alma Resort
is, without a doubt, its pools.
It's not just one or two pools;
there are officially 12 pools,
making it fun to choose a different one each time.
There are also separate kids' pools and a water park,
making it easy to pick the perfect spot for your family.
When I used the pools,
what I loved most was that I didn't have to stay in just one place.
After playing a bit, I'd move to another pool,
then relax before heading to the beach, and spending the day like that
meant I never got bored, even though I stayed entirely within the resort.
Given the resort's large size, I highly recommend
making full use of the buggy cars when moving between pools.
Especially when traveling with children
or during hot weather,
it was much more comfortable to take a buggy car
than to walk and overexert ourselves.
With water slides and a lazy river,
families visiting with children
could easily spend a whole day at the resort
and it would be absolutely worth it!
Breakfast & Room Service
Breakfast was excellent overall.
You can enjoy breakfast at Alma Garden,
and it featured a wide variety of Vietnamese dishes,
exactly what you'd expect from a Vietnamese resort!
Oh, and the pho at Alma Resort
didn't have cilantro!! (Hooray!!)
The diverse range of dishes, suitable for everyone from kids to adults,
really made me feel like
it was perfectly suited as a family-friendly resort.
We also thoroughly enjoyed ordering room service.
After swimming hard all day and showering back in your room,
you know how it feels to not want to go out, right?
At times like that, nothing beats room service!
While Alma Resort doesn't offer delivery services,
their room service was surprisingly delicious.
I highly recommend everyone tries it at least once!
Overall Review
Alma Resort Cam Ranh in Nha Trang is particularly recommended for those
who want to truly relax and unwind within the resort itself,
rather than focusing on sightseeing.
The Terrace Ocean View Suite I personally stayed in
had a separate bedroom and living room, which was really convenient,
and the room was impeccably clean, making it perfect for families.
Best of all, with 12 swimming pools and a water park,
you could easily spend a whole day skipping any outside plans
and still find you didn't have enough time just playing at the resort!
If you're planning a family trip to Nha Trang with kids,
or a hotelcation centered around swimming pools,
I would definitely choose Alma Resort again.
