Incredible Snorkeling on a Private Beach

The absolute best feature of Alibu Resort is its exclusive private beach.
You can jump straight into the water and start snorkeling whenever you want.
Unlike crowded public boat tours where you spend hours in transit, here you can simply change into your swimwear in your room and walk right into the ocean!

Because the beach is reserved almost exclusively for resort guests, the atmosphere is incredibly peaceful and relaxed.
I was pleasantly surprised by the sheer volume of colorful fish swimming near the shore. You don't have to swim far out at all to see thriving marine life.
If you don't have the stamina for a grueling 8-hour island hopping tour, this resort beach offers a much more satisfying and relaxed alternative.
Complimentary Safety & Snorkeling Gear

Safety is always the top priority when heading out into the open ocean.
Alibu Resort provides essential safety gear and snorkeling equipment for all guests, making it incredibly easy to participate spontaneously.
They even have a collection of gear left behind by previous travelers that you can borrow completely free of charge!

Since the beach area is mostly populated by resort guests, there are always people around. The resort also features excellent, well-maintained beachside lounging areas where you can relax and watch others swim.
I really appreciated this vibe. It felt highly exclusive and peaceful, yet offered a strong sense of safety knowing that resort staff and fellow travelers were nearby in case of any emergency.
Snorkeling Essentials: What to Pack

The single most important item to bring is high-quality, reef-safe waterproof sunscreen.
Because there is very little shade directly on the water, the tropical sun can be intense. Even a quick 30-minute swim can lead to sunburn if you aren't careful, so apply generously!
Here's a pro-tip: save a small piece of bread from the resort's breakfast buffet. Swarms of colorful tropical fish will gather around you instantly, making for an unforgettable underwater view.
Don't forget a waterproof phone pouch or an action camera to capture the memories, along with a quick-dry towel and a change of clothes.
Alibu Resort Snorkeling: My Honest Review
To be honest, I didn't expect much from a resort-front beach before arriving.
However, once I put on my mask and looked underwater, I was absolutely blown away by the clarity and the volume of marine life. It easily rivaled some of the paid boat tours I've taken in the past.
The best part was the sheer convenience and lack of crowds. Being able to swim in peace without hundreds of tourists around made it a highlight of my trip.

My routine was perfect: I enjoyed a leisurely breakfast, spent an hour snorkeling with the fish, walked back to my room to shower, and checked out feeling completely refreshed.
In the past, I used to waste my checkout mornings just sitting in the room waiting for departure. Utilizing Alibu Resort's beach allowed me to maximize every single minute of my trip without feeling exhausted.
With zero travel time and minimal physical strain, this is an itinerary I would gladly repeat on my next visit to Nha Trang.

Of course, if you're booking a luxury resort, you want to make sure you're getting the best possible value.
I always search for promo codes and seasonal discounts to save money on accommodation bookings.

Important Safety Precautions before You Go

Please keep in mind that the ocean depth can drop off quite suddenly past the shallow reef area.
Even if you are an experienced swimmer, do not venture too far out alone and always stay within your comfort zone.
If you are traveling with children, constant adult supervision is absolutely mandatory. Ensure they wear properly fitted life jackets at all times.

Additionally, protect your skin by reapplying waterproof sunscreen regularly, and stay hydrated by drinking plenty of fresh water throughout the day.
The Verdict

I used to think that visiting Nha Trang required booking an organized boat tour to see the local marine life.
However, those long days on the water are physically exhausting and take up a massive chunk of your itinerary.
Opting to stay at Alibu Resort and snorkeling on their private beach was a far superior experience. Being able to swim with the fish, walk back to my room to shower, and transition effortlessly to checkout was incredibly convenient.
With fewer crowds, stunning water clarity, and free gear rentals, it checkmarks all the boxes for a perfect tropical getaway.
If you want to experience the best of Nha Trang's marine beauty without the hassle of a crowded day tour, Alibu Resort is highly recommended!
