When mapping out your Bali itinerary,
the Bali Swing is one activity that absolutely cannot be missed.
Soaring high on a swing overlooking those postcard-perfect rice fields?!
Just thinking about it is so dreamy lol
For my first trip to Bali,
I visited Alas Harum (Cretya Ubud), which I'm introducing today,
and for my second trip, I went to Picheaven.

Thanks to a packed schedule that started at 3:00 AM
with a Mount Batur sunrise jeep tour on day one,
I was absolutely exhausted.
But for the sake of that ultimate, jaw-dropping shot,
I pulled myself together early in the morning and rushed there for opening time.
Today, I've put together a guide on what most people get confused about:
The difference between Alas Harum and Cretya Ubud,
The latest 2026 admission fee system,
and an amazing pro-tip on how to save on your husband's ticket!
Let's dive in!
Do you have to pay separate admission fees for Alas Harum and Cretya Ubud?
Many people get confused about whether the tiered swimming pool
and the Bali Swing you see on Instagram are in the same place or different places.
Let me clear that up!
The venue is actually divided into two distinct zones!

✅ Alas Harum
The theme park zone featuring the Bali Swing, zipline, Tegallalang rice terrace views,
and the bird's nest photo spots.

✅ Cretya Ubud
The day club zone located inside Alas Harum,
featuring the 3-tiered pool and restaurant.
If you only plan to ride the Bali Swing,
you do not need to pay the Cretya Ubud admission fee (150,000 IDR)
separately!
✔️ If you don't plan on using the pool
and just want to enjoy the swing and photo spots,
you just need the basic Alas Harum entrance fee + a swing ticket
to get access.
However, if you want to go into the Cretya pool area,
an additional entrance fee of 150,000 IDR applies.
Does a boyfriend (or husband) who is only there to take photos need to buy a swing ticket too?
The answer is NO!
Seriously, don't buy it.
Some people buy two expensive swing packages just because they are together,
even though only one person is actually riding the swing.
That is such a waste of money!
(Of course, if you're riding the couple swing together, you must buy it!)

Your husband, who will be acting as your personal photographer,
doesn't need to buy a swing ticket.
He can just pay the basic Alas Harum entrance fee
and go right in.
Then, while you are soaring on the swing,
he can work his magic to capture your legendary shots lol
What's the best time to visit the Bali Swing?
Arriving right at opening (the "open run") is absolute key.
Although Cretya Ubud's official opening time is listed as 7:00 AM,
the pool actually opens at 8:00 AM.

I arrived around 7:30 AM on a Saturday,
and while I was able to enter immediately,
I couldn't get into the water and had to wait a bit
until the official pool opening at 8:00 AM.
If you go early, there's no queue at the ticket booth,
and you can use the free drink coupon given at entrance
to snag a prime, free seat with a gorgeous view,
allowing you to leisurely enjoy a beer or refreshing drink.

Enjoying the day club and snapping the shot of a lifetime in the 3-tier pool!
We headed over to capture the Bali Swing around 9:30 AM,
which turned out to be that slightly awkward time when the tour groups start rolling in.
If we had been even a little bit later, we probably would have ended up waiting in a massive line.
Alas Harum's Bali Swing offers a variety of riding options depending on the height and style you want.

The swing ride lasts about 3 to 4 minutes,
and the staff will give you about 15 energetic pushes!
Swing Type | Height & Features |
Angel Swing | A perfect height for a light, easy breeze |
Couple Swing | Ride side-by-side with your favorite person |
Swing Bed | Accommodates 2 to 4 people |
Super Extreme Swing | Approx. 25m, the most popular classic choice |

but you still want that epic swing experience,
I highly recommend Picheaven.

Bali Swing Dress Rental & Photo Tips

You've probably seen this in almost every Bali Swing review,
but the ultimate dress color that contrasts beautifully
against the lush, green Tegallalang rice terraces
is hands-down Red!

But don't worry, other colors
look incredibly gorgeous too.
I actually chose white! I was going for that ethereal, goddess-like vibe haha!
There is a clean changing room on-site,
and the friendly staff will help you put on the dress,
so you don't have to worry at all.
For a regular dress, it's an extra IDR 202,125 (approx. ~$11),
and the super-long, flowy dresses
are a bit pricier at IDR 294,525 (approx. ~$16).
But honestly, you don't even need to go for the VIP dresses
to get that gorgeous, flowy look. The standard ones look incredibly pretty, so no worries!

Pro-tip: Save your favorite angles and poses
from social media onto your phone beforehand.
Show them to your husband or boyfriend before you start,
and you'll get picture-perfect results!
But if you feel like your partner is a bit of a hopeless photographer,
hiring their professional photography service is another great option!
The photo service costs an additional IDR 248,325 (approx. ~$14).

Aside from the famous Bali Swing, Alas Harum also features
plenty of other fun spots like zip-lines, sky biking, giant bird nests, and heart-shaped photo ops.
Plus, you can try and buy authentic Luwak coffee,
so keep that in mind!
Today, I've put together all the essential info and insider tips
for Cretya Ubud and the Alas Harum Bali Swing—
easily my absolute favorite highlights of my Ubud itinerary.

Flying high over the lush, emerald green rice terraces
is an absolute must-do bucket list experience in Bali!
Instead of waiting in the sweltering heat on-site and paying extra,
be smart and book your tickets in advance by choosing the right package
for those swinging and those just taking photos!
