If you stay at the hotel, you get a free ticket,

but you don't necessarily have to stay at Yurakujo Hotel

to enjoy Yurakujo.

For those who just want to enjoy the hot springs near Narita Airport,

you can simply purchase a separate Yurakujo admission ticket and visit.

you can enjoy it at a discounted price.

It feels like stepping into a charming traditional Japanese village,

filled with so many sights and activities to enjoy—!

My sibling and I visited, took tons of photos,

explored around, and had a blast,

even thoroughly enjoying the grand communal bath and open-air hot springs.

Why I Recommend Yurakujo for Your Last Day

Yurakujo is a Japanese-style hot spring theme park located

close to Narita Airport.

I visited on my first day of the trip,

but if I went again now, I'd probably go on the last day.

You could explore Narita city center,

have a blast at Yurakujo,

then unwind with the hot springs to soothe away all your travel fatigue,

before heading to the airport – it's the perfect itinerary!

This isn't just a place with hot springs;

from manga comics to games, gachapon, performances, and dining,

there's so much to see and do that it's worth setting aside

at least half a day to explore.

My Experience Getting the Most Out of Yurakujo

When you first enter, you put your shoes in a shoe locker

and then show your admission ticket at the lobby counter.

The staff members were so kind and guided me,

so there was no need to worry much even for a first-time visitor.

Just a heads-up: Korean communication might be a bit tricky, so make sure to have a translation app handy!

Upon entry, you'll receive a bag, changing room key, yukata, and towel,

and then you can head into the changing rooms to the left of the counter.

You can freely carry your bag around inside.

It might be a bit confusing on your first visit,

because there are two changing rooms!

The first one is the changing room before you enter the theme park,

and the second one is the changing room when you go into the inner hot springs.

Inside the theme park,

you can comfortably wear your regular clothes or a yukata.

💙 When going from the theme park to Changing Room 1,

you cannot use the same path you initially came from.

You need to exit to the lobby via the lounge.

If you're confused, feel free to ask a staff member.

This is the path from the first changing room leading out to the theme park.

You pass through a very dark path, almost like a tunnel,

and at the end, there's a cascade of water, like a waterfall.

I'm not entirely sure of its meaning, haha,

but it felt unique right from the entrance.

The moment you step inside the theme park,

the atmosphere completely transforms!

With dazzling lights and continuous Japanese-style spaces,

it feels like you've stepped into a small Japanese village! 💕

It feels like it could rival Incheon Inspire!

(Though I haven't been there myself, haha!)

There are so many Japanese-themed spaces,

making it perfect for taking photos.

At first, I only planned to take a quick look around,

but I ended up spending quite a bit of time taking pictures and exploring.

Time just flew by as I explored and snapped photos...

From arcade games to gachapon, claw machines, comic book cafes, ping-pong tables,

and photo booths – there's so much to enjoy here.

That's why you shouldn't just think of Yurakujo as solely an onsen (hot spring) destination.

If you plan on taking photos and truly immersing yourself in the fun here,

I highly recommend allocating ample time for your visit.

On Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, they also host performances and events.

However, these are held at specific times,

so if there's a particular show you want to see, you'll need to plan your visit accordingly.

Detailed event information is uploaded monthly to their website,

so it's a good idea to check the schedule before you visit.

Dining at Yurakujo

There's also a restaurant where you can dine.

You don't need to carry cash or cards separately;

you can use your key (like at a Korean jjimjilbang) for payments.

Although the ordering process is written in Korean...

the menu itself isn't translated into Korean, and with so many options, it can be a bit complicated.

Still, we managed to order and enjoy our meal somehow...

☑️ Zaru Soba (large portion) ざる蕎麦大盛(冷): A bit bland, unfortunately.

☑️ Butadon Set 豚丼セット: Salty but delicious!

Personally, rather than going there specifically for gourmet dining,

think of it more like a regular food court,

and a place to enjoy activities + the hot springs,

and you'll likely have a more satisfying experience! ~

Yurakujo Hot Springs: Grand Public Bath and Open-Air Bath

This is the entrance to the hot springs!

You can use the facilities after storing your belongings in the dedicated changing rooms for the hot springs.

​

✔️ Operating hours are the same as Yurakujo's general operating hours,

and an announcement for closing will be made around 21:25 - 21:35.

This announcement means it's time to leave,

so plan to exit the hot springs before 21:30!

✔️ Body wash, shampoo, and conditioner are available inside.

The grand public bathhouse features everything from indoor baths to open-air rotenburo.

When I visited, it was evening, and

the lighting created an absolutely wonderful atmosphere in the open-air bath.

As I quietly soaked in the warm water,

I felt all the fatigue from a day of exploring just melt away!

Since I arrived a bit late and

spent a lot of time taking photos and looking around,

I regretted not being able to enjoy the hot springs for longer...

So, please, make sure to go early, trust me...

Beyond the baths, Yurakujō offers a variety of other experiences, including

fountain shows, healing (massage) services, a kids' space,

and private room dining.

If you want to fully enjoy all of these at your leisure,

it's definitely best to allow plenty of time for your visit.

the International Resort Hotel Yurakujo.

It's just a 2-3 minute walk from Yurakujō,

making it super convenient to return to the hotel after enjoying the hot springs.

Most importantly, hotel guests receive a

free admission ticket to Yurakujo upon check-in.

I stayed in a Standard Double Room,

but since the twin bed price was more affordable,

Overall Review

Personally, I felt this place wasn't just for adults

seeking a quiet hot spring experience. Instead,

it's a vibrant spot for families with kids, friends, and couples

to enjoy themselves and have a blast!

Both at the performance hall and while relaxing in the outdoor onsen,

I found myself thinking, 'My mom would have absolutely loved this if she came along!'

It's truly a fantastic spot for families to enjoy together.

Next time, I plan to set aside plenty of time and visit again.

From games, performances, and the fountain show to the bedrock bath and hot springs,

I'll make sure to enjoy everything slowly and thoroughly!
