For my birthday this year, my husband treated my mom and me to a fantastic lunch at Yewoo in Bundang. I'd had this upscale Korean beef spot on my radar ever since I saw a popular YouTuber rave about it, and we finally managed to snag a reservation through Catchtable. It's truly a versatile spot – perfect for a romantic date night or, as we discovered, an ideal place to bring your parents for a special meal!
We made our reservation a bit late, so the only available seats were at the bar counter. However, it wasn't a typical cramped bar setup; the table was surprisingly spacious and comfortable, much wider than I expected.
Restaurant Ambiance

The restaurant features a few spacious tables, similar to the one on the left in the photo, with the bar-style seating located near the entrance. It's not a massive space, so if you're planning a weekend visit, I highly recommend making reservations well in advance. The larger tables looked incredibly cozy and inviting, perfect for enjoying a meal with family.
The Menu

Upon being seated, we were presented with lemon-infused water and shown the exquisite cuts of beef that would be featured in our meal. My anticipation was through the roof!

Yewoo offers both lunch and dinner as multi-course meals. If you're feeling extra hungry, you can always ask to add on additional items. You can see the prices for extra dishes in the bottom right corner of the menu. We decided to go all out and ordered both the Futomaki and the Tacos as additions!

As a sort of complimentary starter, they brought out three delightful side dishes. The aged kimchi was incredibly refreshing and absolutely delicious – a perfect counterpoint to the richness of beef, which can sometimes be a bit heavy. This was an absolute must-have! The cabbage salad had a coleslaw-like texture, and the marinated cherry tomatoes? Oh my, they were divine! The best part is that all three of these fantastic sides are refilled continuously. Every single one was a winner!

Next up, the appetizer. This was truly exceptional. Honestly, everything was delicious, but this one stood out. It had the refreshing quality of a chilled soup, even though the menu listed it as a salad. I suspect the appetizer might change seasonally, which just gives me another reason to return!

Then came the yukhoe (Korean beef tartare). This dish was so incredibly delicious, it made me wonder about its secret recipe! It was beautifully presented on a bed of fresh avocado.

Next, the star of the show: Hanwoo tenderloin and sirloin. Just looking at these pictures makes me want to eat them again! Korean Hanwoo beef truly is in a league of its own. You could tell that every accompanying side dish was thoughtfully prepared and perfectly paired.

We also ordered the extra Futomaki, which came in four generous pieces. My mom, my husband, and I each had one, and my husband happily devoured the last one. Talk about wonderfully hearty portions!

Next, a highlight from the original lunch course: Capellini pasta topped with thinly sliced chadolbagi (beef brisket). They thoughtfully asked if we had any aversion to egg yolk before adding it on top, which was a nice touch.

Since it was my birthday, they surprised me by putting a candle in the taco and even adding a special message! It was such a unique and memorable experience – a birthday taco, who knew?! They also placed a cute music box next to it that played "Happy Birthday." It was absolutely adorable!
Having tried both the extra tacos and the futomaki, I can confidently say both were incredibly tasty. However, if I had to pick just one, the futomaki was my personal favorite! While I enjoyed the tacos, some might find their unique seasoning a bit strong. (Though my husband and mom both loved them, so it's really a matter of preference!)

Finally, the stone pot rice with tteokgalbi (grilled short rib patties) and mushrooms arrived. The staff mixed it thoroughly and served it into individual bowls. A light clam soup was also served on the side. They offered a special sauce if we wanted to add more flavor, but honestly, it wasn't needed at all – it was absolutely delicious just as it was!

To finish off, a refreshing sorbet. Every single dish in the course was incredibly delicious and satisfying. We added two extra items, which definitely made us beyond full, but even without the additions, the regular course provides a perfectly ample amount of food. To get such a high-quality Hanwoo course for approximately ~$50 is truly incredible value. I wholeheartedly recommend it!

Located within a large building, parking was incredibly convenient. Overall, the experience was impeccable – clean, professional, and utterly delightful. I'm already planning my next visit; I'd absolutely revisit, no doubt!
