Among all the dishes we tried, the fried fish was undoubtedly the most memorable. It's made with freshwater fish, and to be honest, I was a little apprehensive at first.

I worried about that distinct 'fishy' taste that freshwater fish can sometimes have.

But the moment I took a bite, all my concerns vanished. There was absolutely no fishy flavor. The batter was perfectly crispy, and it blended wonderfully with the sauce. It was incredibly delicious!

It was such a pleasant surprise to find such an amazing fish dish in Laos, and I'd definitely order it again on my next visit.
