There's really no reason not to book ahead.
After grabbing your bags at Vienna Airport,
just follow the massive bright green CAT signs!
They are everywhere, so you literally can't get lost.
Because the signs are so huge and clearly marked,
navigating is a breeze.

The CAT runs every 20 to 30 minutes.
You don't really need to worry about a strict timetable.
Just show up and catch the next one.
When I got to the platform, the train arrived 4 minutes later,

on the door to open it.
Don't forget to press it when you're exiting, too!
There's no assigned seating, so you can just
grab any open spot.
I highly recommend sitting near the luggage racks.
The train is surprisingly spacious, so you won't be fighting for seats,
and it's so easy to store your bags.
They even have free Wi-Fi and 220V European outlets!
It's only a 16-minute ride, but it's a very comfortable one.
It absolutely beats taking a cab. Seriously.

As I mentioned, the best seats are right next to the luggage racks.
You always hear stories about luggage theft in Europe,
so just for my own peace of mind, I sat right next to where
I stored my suitcase.
Since you reach the city center in just 16 minutes,
there's really no need for heavy locks or cables.
Once the train departs, a conductor walks through
to scan tickets.

we were already in the city center.
With public transit this efficient, there is zero reason to take a taxi.

The CAT (City Airport Train) provides a direct connection from Vienna International Airport to Wien Mitte station in the city center. The journey takes only 15 to 16 minutes.
By booking in advance from Korea, you can receive a QR code ticket immediately. It's also often cheaper than on-site purchases, and you can pay with a Korean credit card. Furthermore, applying credit card discounts and discount coupons makes it even more economical.
To open the doors on the CAT (City Airport Train), you need to press the round button located next to the door. The same applies when alighting. Inside the train, you can use free Wi-Fi and 220V power outlets.
After arriving at Vienna Airport and collecting your luggage, simply follow the green CAT signs, and you will easily find it as it's directly connected to the airport. The CAT operates every 20-30 minutes.
