If you're heading here on your honeymoon or a romantic getaway,
I highly recommend the couples massage I recently experienced.
It was a luxurious, deeply relaxing
2-hour traditional Balinese spa treatment.
This isn't your run-of-the-mill street massage;
it's a premium experience tailored for couples

Getting a massage in Bali is absolutely non-negotiable.
And when it comes to the Seminyak and Legian areas,
travelers are truly spoiled for choice.
Because there are so many options,
it can be tough to find the ones with genuine quality.
The spot I chose for this trip was
Usada Spa, located inside the Legian Beach Hotel.
Since we were in Bali,
I wanted to skip the crowded tourist traps
and experience an authentic, high-end
Balinese traditional massage.

This comprehensive 2-hour package,
known as "Bali Harmony,"
is incredibly popular among couples.
With a flawless 5.0 rating on Google Maps, I knew we were in good hands.
While it's not the cheapest option around,
I wanted to splurge on a premium experience this time,
and it was worth every penny.
The private rooms come with their own showers,
making it a perfect activity right before or after a flight.

Now, let's get into the actual review!
The spa I visited is Usada Spa,
situated perfectly between the Seminyak and Legian areas.
Because it's located inside a hotel,
the cleanliness and upscale ambiance were immediately apparent.
(And yes, non-guests can book treatments here too!)
If you walk in from the Legian Beach side past the restaurant,
you'll find the lobby and an elevator.
Just take it up to the 2nd floor.
(If you get lost, just ask the restaurant staff!)
I asked, and they kindly escorted me all the way up.
So friendly! 💕
I had pre-booked my session via KKday,
so when we arrived about 10 minutes early,
they already had my name on the list and checked us right in.
We opted for the Bali Harmony package,
a 2-hour treatment
that offers slightly different experiences for men and women.
The sequence goes:
Foot Soak → Full Body Oil Massage →
Body Scrub (Men) / Honey Facial Mask (Women) → Floral Bath
It's a beautifully structured 4-step journey.
Usually, men get the scrub and women get the honey mask,
but you can request to swap if you prefer.
I actually asked for the body scrub instead of the facial mask.
I also asked if they could shorten the floral bath
to just 15 minutes,
and they happily extended my massage time instead!
They are super accommodating with requests,
so feel free to customize your session! Haha.
Solo travelers get a private single room,
but since we went as a couple, we were guided to a spacious double room!
The session started with a foot soak,
where they used salt and a scrub for exfoliation.
They massaged all the way up to the calves, which felt incredibly refreshing.
During the smooth oil massage
and the subsequent exfoliation,
the therapist constantly checked in—asking if the room temperature was okay
and if the pressure was right.
Their attentiveness really left a lasting impression.
(For reference, my wonderful therapist's name was Emi!)
Afterward, they served ginger tea with light snacks,
and stepping out after the fragrant floral bath was pure bliss.
A massage is an absolute must in Bali,
and Usada Spa offered a level of refinement hard to find elsewhere in Southeast Asia.
Especially if you're on your honeymoon,
