Following our recent stay review at Sonobelle Building B, today we're diving into the breakfast experience! We booked a package that included breakfast, so we got to enjoy the Chef's Kitchen buffet.
After doing some research, it's clear many travelers have questions about the pricing and reservation process for breakfast at Sonobelle Vivaldi Park.

Having experienced it firsthand, there are definitely some key things to know in advance. So, based on our visit as a family of four, I'll share our review, along with all the essential details on pricing and how to make a reservation.
Sonobelle Breakfast Basic Information
Location: Chef's Kitchen, B1 Level
Operating Hours: 7:00 AM - 10:30 AM (Last entry at 10:00 AM)
Reservation System: Advance reservations are required for one of three time slots:
Session 1: 7:00 AM - 8:20 AM
Session 2: 8:40 AM - 10:00 AM
Session 3: 10:20 AM - 11:40 AM
Standard Prices (2026):
Adults/Teens: ~$31
Children (Elementary School Age): ~$19
Infants (36 months to pre-school): ~$12
Children under 36 months are free with valid proof of age.

Breakfast Pricing Breakdown
Let's talk about the price upfront. The rates increased in July 2025, bringing the adult price to ~$31. For our family of four (two adults, two elementary school-aged children), the standard price would be ~$101.

Let's be honest, that's quite a hefty price for a single breakfast! That's why knowing how to get a discount is key. If you book in advance, non-members receive a 10% discount, while Sonobelle members get 15% off. This brings the adult price down to ~$28 for non-members, and as low as ~$27 for members. For families with younger children, here's a quick tip: Infants (from 36 months up to pre-school age) are ~$12, and children under 36 months eat for free with valid proof of age (like a birth certificate or health insurance card). If your package already includes breakfast, like ours did, you won't have to worry about these calculations, which is super convenient!

The Most Important Tip for Chef's Kitchen Breakfast
Here's the absolute crucial detail: You CANNOT make same-day reservations for Chef's Kitchen breakfast. You must complete your payment by 5:00 PM the day before your intended visit. Since seating is limited, popular time slots, especially on peak season weekends, can sell out completely.
Out of the three sessions, Session 2 is by far the most popular. When we tried to book, Session 2 was already fully booked!
Also, keep in mind that seating is on a first-come, first-served basis, not by assigned seats. This explains why you hear stories of people arriving late in the morning and getting stuck in a long waiting line.
Knowing the entry process also helps: After reserving the day before, we simply showed our ticket, confirmed our name, and stated our party size to enter.

Inside, you'll be directed to your table upon entry.
During our Session 1 visit, the air conditioning was quite strong, and our kids, who were wearing sleeveless dresses, actually got a bit chilly.
So, I'd recommend dressing in something like a t-shirt and shorts for comfortable dining.

The dining area is quite spacious, so we weren't overly concerned about finding a seat. However, if you're hoping for a coveted window-side table, it's best to arrive early!

Our Breakfast Review
The buffet itself offers a generally solid resort breakfast spread, featuring a good mix of Korean and Western dishes, salads, baked goods, and plenty of options suitable for kids.

The longest lines were typically found at stations serving eggs and fried items. Other sections generally weren't too crowded.

There's also a pho (Vietnamese noodle soup) station where they cook the noodles and add broth for you. You can then customize it with various toppings yourself.

There were plenty of kid-friendly options like porridge, soup, and seaweed soup. We lined up for popular items such as eggs, sausages, bacon, and dumplings.
You'll also find a good selection of breads, fruits, cereals, and even some fish dishes, alongside a wide variety of Korean cuisine. The pho station was a nice touch for a warm, comforting bowl of noodles (though, personally, I found the pho taste to be just average, perhaps I didn't get the sauce balance right!).

The eggs, bread, and porridge were all delicious. Overall, our satisfaction with the breakfast was very high.
Alternatives to the Buffet Breakfast
If you couldn't get a reservation for the buffet, or if the price is a bit steep, there are other options.
On the first floor of Building B, you'll find several restaurants, including a Korean restaurant and a food court, where you can grab a hearty meal instead. If you have a room with cooking facilities, preparing a simple breakfast in your room is another convenient alternative.
However, for busy days with a packed schedule at Ocean World, like ours, we found that the time spent preparing and cleaning up a meal in the room was simply too valuable.
In such cases, having a filling buffet breakfast and heading straight out was much better for our energy levels.
After all, a good breakfast is half the battle when you're planning a day of water activities!
Tips for Choosing Your Breakfast Reservation Time
Struggling to pick the best breakfast time slot?
We chose Session 1 to align with Ocean World's opening hours (and honestly, Session 2 was already booked, so our options were limited!).
The upside of going right after opening is that there are no lines, and all the food stations are freshly stocked.
If you go later, you might face queues to enter, and popular dishes could require a wait for refills.
If you have a water park itinerary, an "open run" for Session 1 is your best bet. For those who prefer to sleep in and enjoy a more relaxed meal, the hour before closing (around 9:30 AM for Session 2 or 10:40 AM for Session 3) tends to be the least crowded.
In Summary
To wrap it up, breakfast at Sonobelle Vivaldi Park can be a bit pricey at full cost. We highly recommend booking a package that includes breakfast, or exploring the various dining options on the B1 level as a great alternative.

For reference, we calculated how much our breakfast + Ocean World package saved us compared to individual bookings. If you're considering a reservation, you might want to check out that separate post:
