Sokcho Pampas Resort Gold Class B Room Review 2026: Ideal for Large Families

This year, during the Chuseok holidays,

we took my in-laws on a 3-day, 2-night family trip to Sokcho (속초).

Since it was a trip with both adults and children,

choosing the accommodation was quite a challenge.

We needed a space where everyone could stay together,

but also have their own comfortable areas to relax.

And the place we booked was Sokcho Pampas Resort (팜파스리조트)!

The Gold Class B Room we stayed in

was much more spacious than we expected, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms,

making it an incredibly satisfying stay for the price.

Sokcho Pampas Resort

Its proximity to Sokcho Beach (속초해수욕장)

was a key factor when we looked for and booked it as a family accommodation.

When traveling with both parents and children,

the travel routes and accessibility are undeniably important, right?

As we enjoyed our 3-day, 2-night trip to Sokcho,

we needed a place to stay, and for us,

the location was also an excellent choice.

How Spacious Is It, Really?

The Gold Class B Room we booked

is a 96㎡ room, which is about 29 pyeong.

Even though we knew it was spacious when booking,

seeing it in person revealed it was even larger than we imagined!

What was best of all? It had two separate bedrooms!

With separate spaces for my in-laws and our family,

we could all relax comfortably.

Even when traveling with family,

sleeping times and daily routines can be quite different, right?

Having separate rooms meant

we could have our own personal space while still traveling together,

which was perfect for our 3-day, 2-night stay.

Especially if you're planning a trip with your parents,

it's a great idea to check not just the room size, but also the number of bedrooms!

Two Bathrooms,

Such a Blessing for a Family Trip!

Having two bedrooms was wonderful, but what also really impressed me

was having two bathrooms.

When adults and children stay together,

everyone tends to need the bathroom at the same time in the morning,

especially when getting ready!

But with two bathrooms,

we spent much less time waiting for each other.

This is surprisingly important, especially when multiple people are sharing an accommodation.

What Was the Accommodation Price for Our 3-Day, 2-Night Holiday Stay?

and I'm going to reveal the actual price I paid.

Since it was the Chuseok holidays, the accommodation fee was

higher than usual, which could be a bit of a burden.

However, considering that multiple people could stay together,

and there were two bedrooms and two bathrooms,

I was very satisfied with the value for money.

For reference, this amount is

the actual payment I made for a booking during the Chuseok holidays.

When booking, it's a good idea to compare

based on the final amount, which includes taxes and fees,

rather than just the initial room rate.

Also, make sure to check if free cancellation is available

and the occupancy limits for each room type.

What amenities can you find in Pampas Resort rooms?

The first thing I checked upon entering the accommodation was

what items were in the room.

There was a refrigerator and a microwave,

and basic tableware was also provided.

When traveling with kids,

there are times you need to warm up snacks or food,

so having a microwave was really convenient.

A hairdryer was also provided in the room,

so there was no need to bring one separately.

For bedding, three single-person Yoibul (요이불) sets

were available in the closet.

Since we had extra people,

we added one more Yoibul set,

and the extra cost was ₩10,000 (~$8).

If you need more bedding to match your group size,

it would be good to check in advance.

What are the breakfast prices and operating hours at Pampas Resort?

Pampas Resort also offers breakfast.

The menu is Hwangtaeguk Baekban (황태국백반),

and the operating hours and prices are as follows:

It's certainly a good thing to note that you can have your meals

Especially if it's a family trip with parents,

Is there a cafe in the Pampas Resort lobby?

In the lobby, there was a self-service cafe vending machine.

You can purchase coffee right inside the resort

without having to seek out a separate cafe,

which is great when you're craving a cup.

It's a small convenience, but it's good to know

that such a space exists within the accommodation.

Would I book again?

This time, it was a family trip during the Chuseok (추석) holiday

with my in-laws and children.

It was great that even with several people staying in one room,

the sleeping areas were separated.

Most of all, the surprisingly spacious room

and the two bathrooms are what I remember most vividly.

Of course, everyone's criteria for rooms and accommodation costs

may differ, but our family was very satisfied with the value for money.
