Since the mixed doubles tournament started bright and early, I arrived the day before.
And that's when I stayed at a lodging near Sokcho Beach,

When my fiancé and I choose accommodation, the very first thing I look at is always accessibility‼️
And Sokcho Marivista Hotel gets a perfect score for its location!
Cheongcho Lake, famous for its beautiful night views, is less than a 5-minute walk away,
making it absolutely perfect for a leisurely stroll morning or evening.
Sokcho Central Market, a must-visit hot spot when you come to Sokcho,
and Sokcho Beach, known for its breathtaking open sea views,
are both super close, making it incredibly easy to tick off all the must-see spots in Sokcho.
For the pedestrian special rate package, using the hotel's dedicated parking lot is not available,
and there's a condition that using nearby public parking lots is mandatory!
You might wonder, 'What if there are no parking spots and I struggle to find one?'
No need to worry! There are so many public parking lots nearby, and parking spaces are
plentiful, so you won't experience any inconvenience at all 👍
If you opt for the pedestrian special rate, you can book at a reasonable price,
and since it's really close to the Sokcho Bus Terminal,
I highly recommend it even for those traveling on foot!

Sokcho Value-for-Money Hotel Recommendation! Comfortable Room Condition ✨
The room I stayed in at Sokcho Marivista Hotel was
the Ocean Lake View Superior Double Room 💭
Honestly, the price was so good that I didn't
have high expectations for the room condition...?! Haha
But as soon as I opened the room door, I was completely impressed by how clean and tidy it was,,😍
The mini-fridge came with two bottles of water, and generally, the fridge and freezer
have a large capacity, so if you come to Sokcho for a trip and explore Sokcho Central Market,
it would be great for storing all the various things you buy. Gooood 👍
The bedding was kept super fluffy and clean,
and the floor was absolutely spotless, without a speck of dust or hair. ✨
There was also a bedside table, making it super convenient to grab snacks from the 1st-floor convenience store,
and with a spacious vanity and wardrobe, it was absolutely perfect for storing all our luggage!
And what I prioritize most in a room's condition is, without a doubt, the bathroom!!
The bathroom & shower were genuinely spacious and spotless; I loved that there was no dampness or water stains upon check-in.
It's definitely one of the best Sokcho hotels I've stayed in!

It's a superb pet-friendly accommodation in Gangwon,
boasting comfortably designed pet rooms within the hotel!

Plus, the lobby has a self-service luggage storage area, so if you have a lot of bags,
you can lighten your load as you finish up your Sokcho adventure!
The BBQ area, kids' zone, convenience store, and shared microwave are all conveniently located on the 1st floor!
However, when I visited, the BBQ area was undergoing tent repairs due to strong winds, so it wasn't operating separately. Dinner was being served indoors instead, they mentioned. Haha.

As mentioned, dinner is usually char-grilled at the BBQ area,
but it was being held in the indoor restaurant. Haha. So, we had originally
planned to enjoy the couple's set for two, but because we departed right after work on Friday,
we arrived late and unfortunately couldn't make it for dinner. 😭
The next morning, we headed to the 2nd floor for breakfast, and it looked like this was the same spot where dinner was served in the evening!
There were grills, and the vibe felt different from a typical breakfast area.

We wanted to fuel up properly before our competition the next day,
so we woke up early, got ready, and headed to the Stella Vista restaurant on the 2nd floor for breakfast!
Just remember to bring your breakfast vouchers that you received at check-in!
Breakfast with a diverse array of Western and Korean dishes 🤤
Not just budget-friendly hotels in Sokcho, but even many high-star hotels in Korea often have disappointing breakfasts,
so I honestly didn't have high expectations. 😮💨
But wow, the quality of this breakfast buffet was absolutely incredible!
Let me show you the menu lineup.
There was a colorful array of dishes, encompassing both Korean and Western cuisine,
and perhaps because it was prepared by a chef from a luxury hotel using fresh, seasonal ingredients,
every single dish tasted absolutely superb!!
From fresh, crisp salads to warm scrambled eggs and sausages,
and even hearty, immaculate Korean side dishes that really fill you up!
It was a truly captivating breakfast that made us happily overeat right from the morning.
It was truly a shame that we had to eat sparingly because of the competition.. 😭
If you ever visit Sokcho Maribista Hotel, make sure
you don't forget to indulge in their breakfast buffet! I highly, highly recommend it! 🥐
