I found myself facing the very same dilemma.
While there were many budget-friendly hotels,
I truly believed that for a trip with children,
the time spent at the accommodation
would greatly influence our overall travel satisfaction.
That's why the place I ultimately chose
was none other than the Sheraton Okinawa Sunmarina Resort!

The Sheraton Sunmarina was the perfect spot that checked all three of these boxes!

The very first thing that comes to mind is the breathtaking ocean that unfolded before me the moment I opened our room window.
The emerald-hued sea stretched out as far as the eye could see, and simply sitting on the balcony was enough to truly immerse me in the Okinawa experience.
Just gazing at the sea was enough to liberate me from the stresses of everyday life, offering pure relaxation and healing.
Thanks to this incredible ocean view,
I found complete rejuvenation without even having to venture far from the resort.

The Sheraton Sunmarina Resort currently boasts both a refreshing indoor pool and a delightful outdoor garden pool.

This inviting heated pool is maintained at a comfortable ~30°C, and with a dedicated kids' pool and a relaxing jacuzzi, you can enjoy splashing fun even on rainy days!

Sheraton Sunmarina **_closed its entire hotel from late 2025 to May 2026 to undergo extensive facility improvement work._**
Now, it has proudly reopened and is operating normally,
ready to welcome guests into an even more comfortable and inviting environment!
An Excellent Location for Exploring Manzamo and More
Sheraton Sunmarina is strategically located in the heart of Onna Village,
offering an absolutely superb base for exploring central Okinawa.
Especially, with
Manzamo
the Blue Cave
Ryukyu Mura
and Bios no Oka all nearby,
It's also convenient for traveling to both the northern and southern parts of Okinawa.
You can easily enjoy a schedule of relaxing at the resort,
heading out for a quick sightseeing adventure,
and then comfortably returning to your peaceful haven.
Manzamo, in particular,
is only about 9-10km from the hotel,
meaning it takes less than 10 minutes by car.
This allowed us to easily sightsee in the morning
and still have plenty of time to relax by the pool in the afternoon.

experience a relaxing getaway.
For kids, there's an exciting swimming pool;
for parents, a stunning ocean view
and peaceful relaxation.
Its excellent accessibility to major attractions
like Manzamo
makes it a highly satisfying accommodation for family trips.
Rather than just choosing based on price,
if you're looking for a resort where both kids can have fun and parents can truly rest,
I highly recommend this one!
During the peak Chuseok holiday season, rooms can fill up quickly.

The outdoor garden pool operates from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM and features an 83m waterslide and a children's pool. The indoor pool operates from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM and includes a heated pool maintaining approximately 30 degrees Celsius, a kids' pool, and a jacuzzi.
The waterslide at the outdoor garden pool is closed daily from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM for regular maintenance. We recommend using it outside of these hours.
