For my last day in Sapporo, I had an early morning train to catch from Sapporo Station to the airport,
so I made sure to book a hotel
as close to Sapporo Station as I possibly could!
You really feel how much hotel prices in Japan have soared!
I compared prices daily for a month before my trip,
and it was hard to find a 3-star hotel for under ~$138 per night.
(Of course, it was mid-July, peak season.)
After all that daily searching and effort, I finally managed to
book a 3-star hotel in the late ~$130s,
including breakfast!
Plus, it's just a 2-minute walk from Sapporo Station!
This is the Sapporo Washington Hotel Plaza,
which opened just three years ago in 2022.

Breakfast: 2nd Floor / 6:30 AM ~ 10:00 AM

Prices generally range from ~$48 to ~$104.
I booked during the peak season in July when the Beer Festival is held,
so it was a bit more expensive for me.
Here's the receipt for my weekend one-night stay, including breakfast,
which I booked for ~$124.
I booked through Agoda, and after comparing Klook, MyRealTrip,
Trip.com, and all the other sites,
Agoda was the cheapest.

Check-in
The lobby isn't huge, but it has chairs and tables for relaxing,
and the atmosphere was clean and quiet.
There's a staff member present and a kiosk. The staff member provides all the general explanations in English,
while check-in and card key issuance are done via the kiosk.
Beyond the basic amenities, items like razors, tea, combs, tea bags, and coffee
can be picked up from the lobby as much as you like.
There are two elevators, and they only operate when you tap your card key,
so access for outsiders is restricted.
Having to pull out your room card key every time can be a bit of a hassle,
so definitely opt for two card keys
when you're issuing them at the kiosk!
Guest Rooms
I booked a Semi-Double Room (Non-Smoking),
and it came with a bed, a spacious table, and one bathroom.
There was space to put my luggage in the short hallway leading to the bathroom,
so it didn't interfere with moving around.
Japanese hotels can often be incredibly small,
sometimes there's no room to even open a single suitcase ㅠㅠ.
So, having this much space felt like a blessing!
With a really large table and sofa,
I think it would be great for anyone working remotely while traveling.
Honestly, I didn't have much use for it, so I wondered if they could have removed it
and made the room even bigger... haha.
The TV was equipped with YouTube and Netflix,
and bathrobes, an air purifier, deodorizer, and a refrigerator were all provided.

The bathroom was clean and a decent size,
though the toilet was a bit small. It wasn't terribly uncomfortable,
but it did feel a little bit like a toilet for a child...?
There was a shower curtain to prevent water from splashing out,
and even a bathtub large enough for one person to comfortably enjoy.
Liquid soap, shampoo, conditioner, a water cup, hand wash, and a hairdryer
were all provided in the bathroom.
For breakfast, you need the paper given to you at check-in,
and while you can also purchase it on the day,
they only accept purchases until 9 AM.
As a side note, there's also a coin laundry available,
which you can use for a fee on the second floor.
Breakfast
Breakfast is served at the restaurant on the second floor,
and is available from 6:30 AM to 10:00 AM.
For hotel guests,
they've prepared a TV, manga comics, and magazines.
Out of all the hotels I stayed at in Sapporo,
the breakfast here had the most variety and was absolutely delicious!
What truly made it special was having soup curry available – I loved that!
For dessert, you can enjoy complimentary coffee and tea.
From the incredible service and comfortable rooms to the great price and fantastic breakfast,
this Sapporo hotel left me thoroughly impressed overall.
