I went on a Biei Day Tour last year.

I couldn't visit the Blue Pond then, so I vowed to go again in the summer, and this time, I made it happen! haha

I thought only this part would be different, but the overall course itself was quite distinct.

Meeting Point and Time

We meet at 8:00 AM in front of Shikisai-no-Oka in Hokkaido.

Once you register, you'll receive detailed instructions in advance via KakaoTalk.

Departure is at 8:10 AM.

Originally, there was a fixed route, but since rain was forecasted for Hokkaido in the afternoon, we flexibly adjusted the itinerary.

Indeed, it rained in the afternoon, but we had already visited the key spots beforehand, so we could enjoy our sightseeing without any hitches.

Here's a tip.

There are two places selling ice cream: one at the entrance and one at the top of the hill.

If you want to get a great photo, go for the one on the left,

If you want to eat a lot, choose the one on the right.

There's a difference like this.

Perhaps because of the warm weather, it started melting as soon as I got it, but the one on the left was fine because it melted into the cone, whereas the one on the right just dripped everywhere....

Usually, people go for lavender ice cream, but vanilla isn't bad either for color contrast, right?

(Plus, Hokkaido milk is delicious...)

You can see the colorful flower fields, which are the iconic image of the Furano Biei Tour.

When I visited, they were just starting to bloom, so by the time you read this post and go, they'll probably be in full bloom.

By the way, those aren't lavender! haha

When it snows in Hokkaido, you can't see that beautiful blue color, so it's excluded from the tour itinerary then. That's why you have to go before winter arrives.

Honestly, this place speaks for itself, so let the photos do the talking.

This place is magnificent even in winter.

The surroundings are completely covered in snow, but the water doesn't freeze.

The vibrant, lush summer feel is truly stunning.

Lunch at Junpei

Last time, I skipped waiting in line and ate somewhere else, opting to explore the village instead. But this time, I finally got to try the famous Junpei everyone raves about!

Honestly, I didn't have super high expectations, but it was genuinely delicious, lol!

It's definitely worth the wait to get a taste.

(I opted for the bento box version!)

Since I had already explored the village on my previous visit, after lunch, I just took it easy with a relaxing cup of coffee.

The Trees

Ken & Mary's Tree, the Seven Star Tree, and the Patchwork Road.

Here's a pro tip: Get off and head straight to that road. If you manage to snap photos when it's empty, you'll capture some incredibly atmospheric shots.

Wait even a little bit, and crowds will gather, making it tough to get those perfect solo pictures.

Hokusei Hill Observatory

For this spot... make sure you've filled your stomach first!

Farm Tomita

This spot is another glorious flower field!

When I visited, the flowers were just beginning to bloom like this. So, if you're reading this and planning your trip to Hokkaido, chances are you'll catch them in their full, most beautiful glory!

Farm Tomita is much more expansive than I expected, boasting an incredible variety of flowers.

The last photo is a bit blurry because, towards the end, it started raining again.

Thankfully, it held off until I had finished exploring everything.

And, of course, a final treat at Farm Tomita: a delicious lavender ice cream!

(Seriously, how many ice creams have I had today...?)

Doing this summer itinerary just makes me want to experience the winter Sapporo Biei Tour all over again!

At this rate, I might just end up visiting Hokkaido twice a year!
