Sapporo 3-Day Summer Itinerary 2026: City & Biei Tour
Dreaming of a cool summer escape? Our 3-night, 4-day Sapporo itinerary for 2026 covers city highlights, the Biei tour, and even estimated costs for two adults. Start planning your adventure!

Summer Sapporo: Just as wonderful to visit as winter!
With the Beer Festival, Biei tours, Otaru, and so much more to see,
Sapporo is brimming with attractions. Plus, the summer weather is
cooler than in Korea, making it perfect for a vacation!
Today, I'll share a 3-night, 4-day summer Sapporo itinerary
and an estimated budget for two adults!
Day 1
Sapporo New Chitose Airport - Take the Limousine Bus
Get off at Odori Park - Hotel check-in - Soup Curry Suage+
- JR Tower Observation Deck - Former Hokkaido Government Office - Sapporo Clock Tower - Sapporo Beer Festival

Typically, if you're heading to Sapporo Station, the JR Rapid Airport Express is best;
for Susukino or Odori Park, the Limousine Bus is more convenient.
Just choose what fits your itinerary best!

The Sapporo Clock Tower and Former Hokkaido Government Office aren't must-see spots,
they're more like quick photo opportunities.
Honestly, the photos turn out much prettier in winter,
so feel free to skip them if you're not keen!

For lunch, we had Soup Curry Suage+ Main Store.
The wait was brutal, but it was absolutely delicious!
For those thinking, "Is it really worth the wait?",
you HAVE to try the pork curry, not the chicken ㅠㅠ
The pork is the real deal here!!

Next up, we took in the entire Sapporo cityscape
from the JR Tower Observation Deck.
It's located inside the Stellar Place building,
so it's great for some shopping after your visit!

The Sapporo Beer Festival, held in Odori Park!
It runs until 9 PM, so you can soak up the festive atmosphere
alongside local Japanese revelers!
The 2026 Beer Festival runs from July 23rd
to August 18th, so be sure to visit quickly!

We booked our accommodation at Sapporo Washington Hotel Plaza.
I thought Sapporo hotel prices were only expensive in winter,
but summer rates are surprisingly high too!
It was really tough to find anything below ~$146,
but this place turned out to be quite a value-for-money hotel.
It's a 3-star hotel with great quality, breakfast included,
and priced in the mid-~$109 range.

For a Japanese hotel, it even has a separate space for luggage,
so the room feels quite spacious, and the breakfast was delicious.
I'm definitely planning to stay here again!

In the evening, we took photos in front of the Nikka statue
and went shopping at Mega Don Quijote! 💙
Day 2
Biei Tour - Shiki-no-Oka (Four Seasons Hill)
- Blue Pond - Shirahige Waterfall - Farm Tomita

Day 2 was our Biei tour day!
There are so many tour companies out there, so I made sure to compare them all, focusing on those with **great reviews**
and **excellent itineraries!**
I've compiled all the tour comparisons in the post below, so feel free to check it out for more details ❤️

After soaking in all the beautiful flowers at Shikisai-no-Oka,
indulging in a lavender and melon flavored ice cream is an absolute must!
We also got to admire and feed some adorable alpacas.
There's a separate entrance fee here,
and it seemed like a popular spot for families with kids.

Next up was the Blue Pond!
True to its name, it's an absolutely stunning emerald-blue lake.
This breathtaking view is another sight you can only fully appreciate in summer.

When we arrived at Shirahige Falls, it was pouring rain,
so I couldn't get many good photos. But the air felt so fresh,
and the cool atmosphere was incredibly refreshing!

Finally, after a visit to Farm Tomita,
and enjoying dinner back in Sapporo city, Day 2 came to a perfect close!
Day 3

On our last day, we unwound and relaxed at a Jozankei ryokan,
nestled just outside of Sapporo!
Typically, even budget-friendly ryokans cost around ~$219 to ~$292 (300,000 to 400,000 KRW),
making them quite pricey. But I managed to book one, including breakfast and dinner,
for the incredibly affordable price of **~$182!**

This place is called Hatagoya Jozankei Shoten Hostel,
and it was incredibly clean with super friendly staff.
They also offered great services, like complimentary desserts and sake!

Plus, for dinner, they serve **Yakiniku**... how amazing is that?!
The rooms are spacious, and the **onsen (hot spring) even has an outdoor rotenburo (open-air bath)!**
It's not yet widely known among Korean tourists,
but it's quite famous among the locals.
📌Price Comparison by Platform
Klook | Agoda | Rakuten Travel |
~$136 | ~$127 | ~$143 |

(~$2 off)
Prices vary by date, but based on September's peak season,
the cheapest room, including breakfast, is around ~$124.
With dinner included, it's in the ~$146 range, but the quality is so good
I highly recommend including dinner.
Day 4
Sapporo Beer Garden & Museum - Lunch at Bonanza
- Head to New Chitose Airport

Next up is the Sapporo Beer Garden & Museum!
Honestly, it's less about the museum and more about the beer tasting!
It has a different vibe from the Beer Festival,
so I highly recommend it for beer lovers.

Near the Beer Garden & Museum, at 'Bonanza',
we indulged in some soup curry and roux curry, then it was off to the airport! Done and dusted!
Their roux curry is seriously one of the best I've ever had in my life.
You absolutely HAVE to try it! ❤️
Expenses

Finally, here are the expenses for a 3-night, 4-day trip
per person:
✔️ Busan - Sapporo Air Busan flight: ~$270
✔️ Accommodation: ~$226
✔️ Transportation: ~$124
✔️ Other tours, tickets, shopping: ~$58
✔️ Food: ~$109
I tried to save on accommodation as much as possible, yet still splurged on all the food
I wanted to try. Of course, a ryokan is pricier than a standard hotel,
so the overall accommodation cost is higher, but...!

Summer in Sapporo is just as charming as winter! 💙
If you're thinking about an international trip in August or September,
I highly recommend Sapporo for its cool weather and abundant sights!
