Nestled in Susukino, an area bustling with sights and culinary delights, this ramen alley boasts a rich history, dating back to the 1950s.

Even on a day when Hokkaido was experiencing a near-blizzard, people were patiently queuing outside Ramen Yokocho.

Considered the birthplace of Sapporo Miso Ramen, one of Hokkaido's signature dishes, Ramen Yokocho is a narrow alley packed with numerous ramen shops, each with its own line of eager customers.

Here, you'll find staples like Miso, Shoyu (soy sauce), and Shio (salt) ramen, but each stall offers its unique style and flavor, along with a diverse range of ingredients. This means you can visit multiple times and always discover new tastes.

As it was my first time visiting with my son, I really wanted to find the absolute best spot. However, it was an incredibly cold day with heavy snowfall, so we opted for the shop with the shortest queue.
