Hello everyone! In early November, I booked a cheap flight and
embarked on a 3-night, 4-day **Sapporo trip**! Here's my review.
In this post, I'll be sharing **essential tips for traveling with children**, **how to get from New Chitose Airport to Sapporo**, and
a detailed guide on **how to reach Jozankei Onsen Ryokan Yurakusoan, along with a thorough review**, all accompanied by plenty of photos!
Here's a review honestly detailing just how much the **stroller carrier** helped me
while traveling with my 4-year-old, complete with real-life usage photos and even its downsides.

🛫 Getting from New Chitose Airport → Sapporo Station
To kick off your Sapporo adventure,
you'll first need to get from New Chitose Airport to Sapporo Station.
If it's your first time, you might be wondering which transportation method to use, right?
After trying them myself, there are two main options 👇
🚄 ① Take the train (JR Hokkaido Line)
🚌 ② Take the Limousine Bus
To save time, I opted for the train (non-reserved seating).
On my way back to the airport, I took the limousine bus,
which was convenient because it connects directly to the bus stop, but it did take a bit longer.
So, I recommend trying the train one way and the bus the other way for your round trip :)
Luckily, since it was the starting station, there were plenty of seats available,
and we arrived surprisingly quickly, which was a breeze.
🏙️ How to Get from Sapporo Station to Jozankei
After arriving at Sapporo Station,
to head to Jozankei village,
we made our way to the Kappa Liner bus stop.
There are three main ways to get from **Sapporo Station to Jozankei Onsen village.**
When traveling to the **Jozankei Onsen Yurakusoan** accommodation, the **Kappa Liner bus** is the most convenient option,
and it's also highly recommended for a **Sapporo trip with children**. Hotel shuttle buses often fill up quickly, so
if you've chosen your accommodation, **booking the shuttle bus is a must-do first!**

Mine was already fully booked, so
I ended up taking the Kappa Liner.
Seats on the Kappa Liner fill up quickly, so **advance booking is essential.**

I headed to Sapporo Station Stop #27.
Recently, they've switched from paper tickets to mobile tickets.
But they still do a manual check! (Double confirmation!)
Seating is not assigned.
When departing from Sapporo Station, the bus seats seemed relatively plentiful.
By Kappa Liner, from Sapporo Station to Jozankei,
the travel time is about 50 minutes.
Kongtteoki got bored again,
so I had no choice but to show them YouTube ㅠㅠ
The bus goes in the direction of the arrows for dropping off, so
you can get off at the stop closest to your reserved accommodation.
For Jozankei Onsen Yurakusoan,
you should get off at Jozankei Onsen Higashi 2-chome!
🏨 Arrived at Jozankei Onsen Yurakusoan!
After about 50 minutes, we finally
arrived at Jozankei Onsen Yurakusoan.

Here, you have to take off your shoes right from the entrance,
so put your shoes in the shoe locker and make sure to keep your key!
From the moment you step into Jozankei Onsen Yurakusoan,
it's a system where you take off your shoes and walk barefoot.
I was genuinely touched by the staff's incredible thoughtfulness, even **meticulously cleaning the wheels of our suitcases**! 💛
Checking in was a breeze.
We were assigned a room on the 5th floor.
We made our way to the room along a clean and quiet hallway.
In front of the elevator, you'll find a **Pillow Rental corner**.
There are a variety of pillows available,
so you can pick one that suits your personal preference.
**Keep that in mind!**
🛏️ Inside the Room (Quadruple Room)
Ta-da!
We've entered the room.
Based on the small hallway:
The door on the left leads to the toilet.
The door on the right is the bedroom.
The second door on the right is the living room/bedroom.
The door across is the bathroom.
The toilet area has a commode
and a small, adorable sink.
It was convenient being separate from the main bathroom.
Here's a look at the first bedroom.
It was equipped with a **TV** and **humidifier**, making our stay very comfortable.
There's space to place your luggage
and a wardrobe.
The wardrobe was fully equipped with **bath baskets, bathrobes, pajamas, and even socks**.
Pajamas and socks were available in various sizes!
✔️ **Free Yukata Rental Corner**
If your pajamas don't fit,
you need clothes for children,
or you want to try on a yukata?!?!
Then,
if you look next to the lobby on the first floor,
there's a free rental space.
Sizes are displayed (by height),
so you can choose the one that fits you best.
Seeing everyone wearing their yukatas, they looked so beautiful,
so I brought one back to my room, but it didn't have a waist tie...
Sadly, I didn't get to try it on! ㅠ
✔️ Bathroom & Private Onsen
Here's a peek at the bathroom!
Perhaps because it's designed for four people,
there were two sinks!
Inside, there's a private open-air bath!
This is exactly why I chose Yurakuso-an!
It's the ultimate moment where all your fatigue will simply melt away. ♨️
If you happen to need any extra amenities,
they're available at the souvenir shop on the first floor,
so feel free to grab them!
✔️ Living Room & Bedroom
Finally, here's a look at the combined living room and bedroom area.
Such a spacious and luxurious atmosphere!
With plenty of chairs and tables, it's perfect for families to enjoy snacks together.
On the table, there were some easy-to-eat
snacks.
By the window, you'll find
a coffee kettle and a humidifier.
Hotels can often be dry, so I usually pack a portable humidifier,
but this place had such a large one already!
It came in really handy.
Complimentary bottled water is provided, and there's a refrigerator underneath.
I wondered what this was, and then I realized
the TV was cleverly hidden!
☕ Service with Impeccable Attention to Detail
Below the TV, there are two drawers.
They even marked things with these adorable little icons!
Isn't that just so charming? Hehe!
The first compartment had a kettle and cups for brewing tea.
The second compartment had everything you need to brew coffee.
Seriously impressive... I absolutely loved it...
It truly felt like a quintessential Japanese accommodation ☕
I regret not having tried this out while I was there ㅠ
I really hope those who visit get to experience it!
I wondered what the small door on the other side was, and it turned out to be...
a vanity.
But the mirror by the sink in the bathroom was larger,
so I think I mainly used that one.
This is the bedroom located in the living room.
Since it was a low bed,
I wasn't too worried even when my child slept there.
🧳 Nearby Amenities
Since Kongtteok was taking a long nap,
I went out to explore the neighborhood and visit a convenience store.
It was raining at the time,
and since rain boots were provided,
I wore them comfortably and went out.
I took this photo in a hurry, so it's a bit blurry.
Right next to Jozankei Onsen Yurakusoan,
there was this free foot bath.
The weather was cold, and warm steam was rising.
I really wanted to try it but didn't get the chance.
Just a short walk up from the accommodation,
there's a FamilyMart convenience store,
and across the street, there's also a Lawson convenience store.
It was great to be able to easily buy snacks.
