Flying out of Sapporo's New Chitose Airport? Explore the diverse dining options, including the unique Hokkaido Food Hall, perfect for a final taste of the region.
On our last day, before heading to New Chitose Airport,

It was late June,
and preparations were already underway for the Sapporo Beer Garden Festival
(July 23rd - August 18th)!
They were setting things up!

Sapporo TV Tower looked absolutely stunning!
The flowers were in full bloom, a vibrant kaleidoscope of colors.

Hakodate Kantaro Sushi
Hakodate's famous Kantaro Sushi, renowned for its hand-pressed sushi

This sushi brand originates from Hokkaido's Hakodate region,
This is a counter-style sushi restaurant, not a conveyor belt one.
Opening hours start at 11:00 AM.
There was quite a long queue here too,
and it was pretty crowded.
If you order
at the kiosk,
the sushi comes out right away.
There can be
a bit of a wait,
you might wait around
10 minutes,
or even 20 minutes.
Since there's also standing sushi,
if you need a quick meal
before your flight,
standing sushi is a great option.
Prices range from
400 yen to 1000 yen.

Hokkaido Miso Kitchen

Around 2500 yen per set.

I tried the Hokkaido

The neat Wagyu Don

International Terminal Restaurants!!
At Hokkaido Miso Kitchen, you'll find:
Keaki Ramen
Hakodate Gantarō Sushi
Domestic Terminal Restaurants
The Ramen Dojo (ラーメン道場) area
is located on the 3rd floor of the Domestic Terminal,
bringing together famous ramen establishments.
Ichigen (Shrimp Ramen) is particularly famous.
Butadon Meijin (Buta Donburi),
a Butadon specialty restaurant with over 40 years of history, originating in Tokachi.
Soup Curry GARAKU,
Otaru specialties, and more,
along with Kinotoya Soft Serve Ice Cream.
You'll find a wider variety of options,
both in terms of scale and food,
compared to the international terminal!
There's even a Lawson convenience store,
so you can grab some quick snacks!

While they generally take care of your luggage,
the standing sushi spot
can get a bit cramped,
so it's a good idea to keep an eye on your belongings
to prevent theft or loss.
At Hokkaido airport restaurants,
seafood dishes, for example,
can be quite pricey.
However, ramen and udon
typically come at a more standard price.
Still, trying some of Hokkaido's signature dishes
is a fantastic way to cap off your trip
with a memorable and delicious meal!
