Sapporo 3-Person Hotels 2026: Comparing Family-Friendly Stays
Searching for Sapporo hotels for three? This guide compares two excellent, budget-friendly options near Sapporo Station and Odori Park, perfect for your family trip.
Let's dive into two Sapporo hotels that perfectly accommodated our group of three!
Finding a triple room for family trips in Japan, including Sapporo, can often feel like a quest.

If you're planning to splurge a bit on a traditional ryokan experience outside the city, but want to keep your Sapporo city stay budget-friendly, this post is for you!
For our family trip to Sapporo, we chose hotels in two distinct areas:
One was near Sapporo Station,
and the other was close to Odori Park.
Sapporo Hotels for 3: Our Top 2 Picks |
1. Sapporo Station: Richmond Hotel Sapporo Ekimae |
2. Odori: Nest Hotel Sapporo Odori |
1. Sapporo Station: Richmond Hotel Sapporo Ekimae

The biggest perk of staying near Sapporo Station is the incredible transportation convenience. It's ideal for traveling to New Chitose Airport and easily accessing nearby cities like Otaru and Noboribetsu via JR trains.

The popular Sapporo hotel, JR Tower Hotel Nikko Sapporo, is often fully booked or quite pricey per night. So, we opted for the Richmond Hotel Sapporo Ekimae as a fantastic alternative.
Triple rooms here typically range from ~$109 to ~$146 per night. If you don't need an extra bed, children under 13 can stay free in a double room. In that case, a night could cost around ~$70-90.

We chose a double room. While the bed might feel a little snug for three adults, it's a great budget-friendly option for a single night. If you're traveling with older children, I definitely recommend a triple room!

Both the room and bathroom were spotlessly clean, as you'd expect from a Japanese business hotel.

You can conveniently pick up any amenities you need from the lobby.
One of the biggest advantages of the Richmond Hotel is its highly-rated breakfast.

Instead of a generic buffet, they offer a Japanese home-style meal featuring seasonal Hokkaido ingredients. If you're traveling with family, especially kids and parents who prefer a proper meal in the morning, this hotel comes highly recommended.
2. Odori: Nest Hotel Sapporo Odori

The advantage of hotels in the Odori area is their central location, perfectly situated between Sapporo Station and Susukino. This makes both areas easily accessible on foot.
It's especially convenient for family trips to Sapporo if you're planning a bus tour to places like Biei, as most tour meeting points are in the Odori area, making your itinerary smooth.
Nest Hotel is also easy to find, located near the popular La'gent Stay Hotel for family travelers in Sapporo.
A night here costs approximately ~$109, making it a good value option for three people in downtown Sapporo.
With the Sapporo streetcar's 4-chome Station right outside and Tanukikoji Shopping Street nearby, it's also excellent for shopping enthusiasts.

Their triple rooms are configured as a twin room with an added extra bed. While the building might have a bit of age, the room condition was clean and well-maintained.

Great news for future guests: Nest Hotel just reopened in September 2026 after a full renovation! So, you can expect an even more comfortable and pristine stay than when I visited.
Both of these Sapporo hotels for three can be booked for approximately ~$70-110 per night.
✅ If walkability to Sapporo Station and a great breakfast are key, choose ➡️ Richmond Hotel
✅ For easy access to both Sapporo Station and Susukino, plus excellent value ➡️ Nest Hotel

As many travelers know, triple rooms in downtown Sapporo are quite popular and limited in supply.
Especially if you're planning a ryokan stay and want to keep your Sapporo city accommodation budget-friendly, I hope these hotel recommendations help you plan your trip!
