Pattaya, Thailand: An Amazing Value Stay
It's Like a Pool Villa Here!
This was my first time visiting Pattaya!
Honestly, more than the vibrant nightlife or bustling cityscapes,
my goal for this trip was to simply relax deeply after a long time, with no set plans.
That was the whole point of this trip.
Living a busy life every day,
I thought, "Let's just stare at the water and do absolutely nothing on this trip!"
That's what I wanted.

So, when choosing accommodation, more than a noisy and crowded place,
my top priority was
focusing on a quiet and relaxing environment.
As it was my first time in the city, I had limited information,
and all the reviews seemed similar, making it hard to choose. Then,

At first, seeing the price, I was a bit skeptical.
(Around ~$109 for one night including breakfast, based on mid-October rates)

Could this price be right? A pool access room for this amount?
I wondered if it was just good photos.
But after staying for two nights,
starting my first Pattaya trip at this accommodation
felt like a really fortunate decision.
Even if I come back again, I'd definitely book this place first.
(Even as I write this, I'm already missing Pattaya!)
Open the door and you're right in the water – there was no need to book a separate pool villa.
As I arrived late at night, when I checked in and opened the room door,
Wow, the room was really spacious!! That was my first thought.

There's a double bed and a single bed, plus a sofa.
I was first surprised by the size of the room with all that space,
and the moment I pulled back the curtains of the living room's full-length window,
the balcony was directly connected to the swimming pool.

Just open the curtain in front of you, and it connects directly to the pool, as shown in the photo above.

Unlike places where you usually go out to the hallway, take the stairs or elevator,
to get to the pool, this was different.

There's a space that can be used as a vanity table.

The bathroom is also surprisingly spacious. 😊

Since the pool is right outside the door, I didn't even need to wear a robe.
An umbrella is also provided, just in case it rains.

You know, even if you don't rent a private pool villa,
this place genuinely feels like one!
That's exactly the vibe I got.
In the mornings, I'd swim until I was happily tired,
then stretch out on a sunbed on the balcony, sip on some beer, and then gracefully slide back into the water.

That incredible freedom of repeating this routine all day long,
with absolutely no one to bother you, was exactly what I was hoping for on this trip
– and I found it right here!
If you're traveling as a family with kids, you'll instantly understand
just how convenient this layout is.

You can easily keep an eye on your little ones splashing around,
whether you're inside your room or out on the terrace.
No need to constantly be on high alert!
Any downsides, you ask?
Thankfully, I didn't encounter any bugs during my two-night stay!
The pool is fantastic for a fun splash, but just a heads-up,
it doesn't have lanes, so it's not really designed for serious lap swimming.

You might notice some areas where the age of the property is a little visible.
So, if you're strictly looking for something ultra-modern and brand new, this might be a slight drawback.
Given Pattaya's characteristics, a shower filter is an absolute must-have.

A Tranquil Oasis: People Are Around, But You'd Never Know It
When you hear 'Pattaya,' doesn't everyone immediately picture the vibrant,
bustling nightlife?
Honestly, that's exactly why I had a slight hesitation about this particular area.
But the Long Beach Pavilion? It was completely the opposite!
And trust me, there were definitely other guests staying in nearby rooms.

During the day, I'd stroll around the pool area and see travelers,
mostly from Europe or Russia, peacefully lounging on sunbeds,
engrossed in books or simply enjoying a quiet tan.

That serene silence, broken only by the gentle sound of water and the occasional chirp of a bird,
was actually even better than I imagined!
It was at this accommodation that I truly discovered Pattaya could be this incredibly tranquil.
A Quiet Haven with a Surprising Twist: Not Secluded at All!
You know, quiet accommodations often mean being way out in the sticks,
making it a hassle to grab a bite or get around.
But this place? Not at all!

Step right out of the lobby and boom – McDonald's is right there!
Plus, a 7-Eleven and Tops supermarket are super close,
so grabbing snacks was a breeze.
With local restaurants nearby too, I never had to worry about finding a good meal.

A mere three-minute walk led me to a fruit shop,
perfect for grabbing fresh mangoes to enjoy back in the room.

Massage parlors and souvenir shops?
There were so many, you'd find several just by crossing the road!

Whether it was a late-night stroll to grab a beer or a relaxed walk back after a rejuvenating massage,
it felt completely safe and effortless.

It was truly the best location, where you don't have to sacrifice either tranquility or convenience
– you get the best of both worlds!

Breakfast is served at the Long Beach Garden Hotel.
Breakfast was served at the Long Beach Garden Hotel,
which felt like the main hub of the resort.

On our first morning, a staff member told us to hop on the shuttle.
So, thinking it must be quite a trek, we took the shuttle.
Turns out, it was literally a one-minute ride!

After a relaxed breakfast, we leisurely strolled back to our hotel, and it barely took 5 minutes!
Since it was a large hotel's breakfast, the variety of dishes was absolutely plentiful,
and interestingly, most of the guests were Russian.
It felt like my partner and I were the only Koreans amidst a largely European crowd, which was quite a unique experience! Haha.

We started our days by filling up heartily from the morning,
ready to take on the day!
