There are many airlines to choose from when traveling from Hanoi to Incheon, but this time, I decided to try an unfamiliar name.

Parata Air. The name itself was new to me, and when I was booking the flight, I kept wondering, "Is this really okay?" so I did a lot of searching.

The flight I took was WE272, on an A330-200 aircraft.

Perhaps because it's a wide-body aircraft, the seat arrangement was quite different from the budget airlines I usually fly.

Here's what I felt after flying with them.

Though the name might be unfamiliar, its background is more solid than you'd expect.

It's an airline newly branded after being acquired by the home appliance company Winix,

and it originally went by the name Fly Gangwon.

It's notable that, for an LCC, they deploy mid-to-large aircraft like the A330-200

on international routes.

And get this—the Incheon-Hanoi route also operates daily with this aircraft type...!

I saw many reports online saying that its punctuality and load factor aren't bad,

and when I actually flew with them, it departed on time without any delays.

Comfort Class Seat Pitch Measurement

Parata Air's Comfort Class features a 2-4-2 seat arrangement.

I sat in the third seat of the middle 4-seat row.

Usually, when I fly international LCCs, I'm used to my knees lightly touching the seat in front, but this time, that wasn't an issue at all!

In front of my knees, there was enough space for about a fist plus a couple of fingers.

Since I happened to have my passport in hand, I placed it down to measure the gap,

and I think the photo will give you a clearer idea.

Having two aisles was also surprisingly convenient.

When going to the restroom or retrieving luggage, it definitely felt like the queuing time was much shorter.

The check-in and boarding process itself wasn't much different from other airlines. I captured the moment of the final ticket check at the gate, and also the entrance to the aircraft.

There was no feeling of excessively long waits or complicated procedures. It was just a smooth process, similar to any international flight I usually take.

In-flight meals could be paid for directly on board with a card.

I was half-expecting, half-doubting a ramyeon with abalone topping, but

the broth was richer than I thought, and the portion size was generous.

I didn't have high expectations for LCC in-flight meals,

but it was actually quite good!

They even gave packaged stir-fried kimchi!!

While the price isn't exactly cheap,

it's definitely a worthwhile option if you want to grab something to eat on a non-long-haul flight.

Hanoi Incheon Red-Eye Flight, Sunrise Outside the Window

Perhaps because the Hanoi to Incheon flight was a red-eye,

I got to see a beautiful sunrise just outside, even though I wasn't by the window.

It made me think that snagging a window seat on a route with this kind of timing wouldn't be a bad idea at all!
