Osmanli Manor Cappadocia Review 2026: A Clean Hotel Chosen Instead of a Cave Hotel

When you picture a trip to Cappadocia,
the first thing that often comes to mind is staying in a unique cave hotel, right?
But as I started researching accommodations,
I noticed reviews were incredibly mixed.
While the ambiance seemed amazing,
many mentioned issues with humidity, peculiar smells, or even crumbling rock dust.
Plus, as a solo traveler,
I wasn't keen on splurging too much on my lodging!
That's why I decided to look for a clean, modern, and well-maintained standard hotel instead of a cave dwelling.
And that's exactly how I discovered the fantastic hotel I'm excited to share with you today!
My stay there truly exceeded expectations –
from the delicious breakfast and comfortable room to the incredibly friendly staff.
If you're planning a trip to Cappadocia and weighing your accommodation options, I highly recommend this spot.

1. Essential Tips for Choosing Your Cappadocia Accommodation

While researching Cappadocia accommodations,
here's a golden tip I got from a local guide:
**opt for a hotel over an Airbnb!**
The Göreme area has a plethora of hotels, meaning competitive pricing.
Plus, most include breakfast, which makes exploring so much easier!
Indeed, dining options in Göreme town are somewhat limited.
Many restaurants tend to be overpriced for the quality.
**Therefore, always prioritize hotels that include breakfast.**

Location is also key.
While airport transfers and hot air balloon tour pickups usually come directly to your hotel,
tours like the Green or Red routes often require you to walk to a central meeting point in Göreme town.
Booking a hotel too far out can make these early morning starts a real hassle!
**I highly recommend choosing accommodation within a 10-15 minute walk (roughly 0.5-0.75 miles) of the red pinpoint on the map!**
2. Why I Chose a Regular Hotel Over a Cave Hotel

Cappadocia is famous for its unique cave hotels, and it's easy to get swept up in the idea of staying in one.
However, a friend who visited previously shared her less-than-ideal experience: battling humidity, a distinct musty smell, and even falling rock dust within her cave room.
Prioritizing cleanliness and comfort over novelty,
I sought out a **well-maintained, modern hotel** and stumbled upon the highly-rated
'Osmanli Manor Hotel,' which I promptly booked.

Price Comparison
Hotel prices can fluctuate based on dates!
* Double Room / Based on my stay in January / Breakfast Included
Booking Site | Price I Found | Booking Link |
Agoda | ~$138 | |
Trip.com | ~$159 | |
Booking.com | ~$166 |
Before booking, I compared prices across these three platforms.
I've found that **Agoda often offers the best rates for hotels in Europe!**
**While Agoda had the lowest price for Osmanli Manor,**
I ended up booking through Booking.com because I had some loyalty points to use.
3. My Stay: Rooms & Breakfast Exceeded Expectations
I opted for the most basic room, the 'Standard Double Room.'

The Osmanli Manor staff were incredibly friendly from the moment I checked in.
I arrived quite late, past 8 PM, but check-in was smooth and easy.
While the hotel doesn't have an elevator,
the staff kindly helped carry my luggage, which was a huge relief.

Even as a standard room, the space was surprisingly generous.
It felt incredibly spacious for a solo traveler, and it would be perfectly comfortable for two people as well!

The heating was incredibly efficient – even in January when I visited, the room was toasty warm.
There's also air conditioning, so you'll be comfortable during the summer months too.

The bathroom was spotlessly clean and brightly lit!
In fact, the lighting was so good, I ended up doing my makeup in there every day, haha!

There was plenty of space to open my suitcase, the bed was super comfortable,
and with no noise and excellent blackout curtains, I slept like a baby!

The hotel also features a small swimming pool.
I visited in the winter, so I didn't get to use it, but it looks like a lovely spot for those visiting in the warmer months.

Another highlight that truly impressed me about this hotel was its incredible rooftop and, of course, the breakfast!

The breakfast area has such a charming ambiance.♥
Plus, being on the rooftop, you get to watch the hot air balloons ascend right from your table!

My breakfasts during my two-day stay...
Honestly, the hotel breakfast was probably the best food I had in all of Cappadocia, no joke!
**I'd seriously consider staying here again just for the breakfast alone!**

The rooftop space is located on the top floor of the hotel!

They even had tripods available for guests to use freely, so I made sure to capture some great shots, even as a solo traveler!
Summary

For anyone planning a trip to Cappadocia, remember: a cave hotel isn't your only option!
After much deliberation, I chose a standard hotel and was incredibly pleased.
The room was spotless, the staff were wonderfully friendly, and the breakfast alone made my stay exceptionally satisfying.
If you're like me and prefer a quiet, clean, and modern hotel experience, I wholeheartedly recommend Osmanli Manor.
Osmanli Manor Hotel is located an 8-10 minute walk from Göreme town center. Airport pickups or balloon tour pickups come directly to the hotel, but you might have to walk to the meeting point for Green/Red tours.
As of January, the price for a double room including breakfast was ~$138 on Agoda, ~$159 on Trip.com, and ~$166 on Booking.com. The author found Agoda to be the lowest price but booked through Booking.com due to reward points.
The Standard Double Room is located on the 3rd floor, offering ample space for solo travelers and enough for two people. The boiler was strong enough to make it warm even in January, and it's equipped with air conditioning and a clean bathroom.
The hotel has a rooftop area where you can enjoy balloon views, and you can freely use the tripods provided. There is also a small swimming pool, but the author could not use it during their winter visit.
