The Jewel of a Türkiye Trip
This post is all about Cappadocia accommodation recommendations.
If you're wondering whether to stay in a cave hotel or a regular hotel,
please check out the post below first!👇
Aydınlı Cave is,
on Naver's Türkiye travel cafe,
after Artemis Cave,
the most searched-for accommodation!
In this post, for Aydınlı Cave,
from room conditions, breakfast, to the rooftop balloon views,
I'll share my own honest review (paid for by myself),
and we'll find out which platform offers the best price!
Aydınlı Cave Basic Information
Aydınlı Cave is located
in the heart of Cappadocia travel,
right in the town center of Göreme village.
For activities like balloon tours, Red Tour, Green Tour, and more,
it's perfectly situated for free
pick-up and drop-off services for all tours.
The check-in building is the one you see in the photo.
There's a lobby on the first floor where you can leave your luggage,
and if you head up to the rooftop, you can enjoy breakfast there too!

Aydınlı - Orta, Aydınlı Sk. No:18, 50180 Göreme/Nevşehir Merkez/Nevşehir, Türkiye
Room Condition
My husband and I stayed in a Stone Room.
It had a queen-sized bed, and tucked inside, there was an additional sofa bed where one more person could comfortably sleep!
The room was quite spacious, so even with two honeymoon suitcases opened,
there was still plenty of room when my husband and I enjoyed a drink in the evening!

Even though it wasn't a traditional cave hotel, the arched ceiling gave it a strong cave-like ambiance.
If it had been a true cave hotel, it might have felt humid,
but it was perfectly comfortable, had all the basic amenities,
and they replaced towels daily, so we never ran out.

One of the things I loved most about Aydınlı Cave was
the beautiful skyline you could see from the accommodation after a day of exploring,
with all the hotels nestled on the hillsides visible. Haha!

Rooftop Balloon View
Breakfast is served on Aydınlı's rooftop,
and as you make your way up to the rooftop,
you'll be amazed by the panoramic views of Göreme unfolding before you!
Make sure to look back as you ascend!
With such an open rooftop view,
the balloon views are, well, simply beyond words!
I simply enjoyed the most spectacular breakfast imaginable that morning.
Even if you don't take a balloon tour,
you can still enjoy incredible balloon views
from the expansive rooftop.

Breakfast
You can enjoy breakfast both indoors
or outdoors, where you can also capture some incredible 'life shot' photos!

For breakfast, some dishes are served one plate per table,
while others are served per person.
Egg dishes are made to order and served one plate per person,
while Kaymak and Gözleme are brought directly to your table, one plate per table.

Breakfast is typically Turkish style,
and generally satisfying for many palates,
with the menu changing daily,
so my husband and I enthusiastically tried a bit of everything.

From cheeses, bread, and fried rice,
to ham, sucuk (Turkish sausage), and even desserts,
considering the price and the incredible rooftop view,
my husband was absolutely thrilled with such a breakfast!!

Aydinli Cave Prices
In Cappadocia,
the balloon tour season runs
from May to October.
Accommodation prices in Cappadocia
vary significantly, divided into peak and off-peak seasons
depending on the availability of balloon tours.
I booked for ~$90 per night at the end of October!
Pretty reasonable for the peak season, wouldn't you say?

I checked prices for the current peak season in September,
and Agoda was overwhelmingly the cheapest.

Price | ||
Agoda | ~$138 | |
Trip.com | ~$179 | |
Nol | ~$159 |
Since there's a free cancellation option, I recommend booking first,
then comparing prices across different platforms,
and switching your reservation if you find a cheaper deal!
Summary
As an accommodation that offers a decent breakfast and balloon views
at a reasonable price,
it's a highly satisfying hotel for its value!
But precisely because it's a value-for-money accommodation,
you won't be able to enjoy amenities like jacuzzis and indoor pools,
which you might see while strolling around other hotels...!

In my opinion, the main reason explorers visit Cappadocia
is for the hot air balloon tours and various other excursions,
so I didn't consider extra facilities like swimming pools to be essential!
If your Cappadocia trip is mainly focused on tours,
I believe there's no better place to stay.
Highly recommended!
Aydinli Cave is located in the heart of Göreme village, the center of Cappadocia tourism. It offers convenient free pick-up and drop-off for all tours, including balloon tours, Red Tour, and Green Tour.
Breakfast can be enjoyed on Aydinli Cave's rooftop, offering panoramic views of Göreme. Egg dishes are served individually, one plate per person, while Kaymak and Gözleme are provided one plate per table.
You can enjoy a magnificent balloon view from Aydinli Cave's rooftop with an unobstructed panorama. It is perfectly possible to admire the balloon view from the rooftop even if you don't participate in a balloon tour.
The accommodation fee for Aydinli Cave during the peak season in September is cheapest on Agoda, at ~$138. We recommend using the free cancellation option to book first, then comparing prices on other platforms. If a cheaper option appears, you can change your reservation.
