During my Okinawa trip, American Village was one of those spots I absolutely had to visit. It's renowned for its vibrant atmosphere and unique charm.

With its array of charming shops, delicious eateries, and plenty to explore, it was perfect for a leisurely stroll. When I needed a break, I sought out a cafe and ended up at the well-known Zhivago Coffee Works.

Boasting beautiful ocean views and a lovely ambiance, it's definitely a place worth checking out if you're looking for a cafe in American Village!

Zhivago Coffee Works is open daily from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM!

Since it opens early, it's a fantastic spot to grab a coffee before your American Village adventure kicks off, helping you fuel up for a day of exploration.

This spot is particularly renowned for its delicious lattes, breathtaking ocean views, and stunning sunset vistas. After visiting myself, I could totally see why it's so popular among both locals and tourists.

The interior is beautifully decorated, creating a truly inviting and pleasant atmosphere. What I loved most was being able to sit by the window and enjoy the captivating outside scenery with my coffee, making for a truly relaxing experience.

I'd highly recommend snagging a terrace or window seat if you can, especially if you want to soak in those incredible views.

2. Embracing the Ambiance: Ocean Views & Cozy Interiors

The interior truly exudes a warm, inviting vibe, just like these photos suggest! It's a perfect blend of modern comfort and rustic charm.

If the weather had been better, I would have loved to sit on the terrace, but it was quite windy and unexpectedly chilly during my visit, so I opted for a window seat indoors. Even so, sipping a warm drink while gazing out the window was quite atmospheric and cozy, providing a lovely escape from the brisk air.

Plus, Zhivago Coffee Works has really cute takeout cups, so on a nice day, I'd suggest grabbing a coffee to go and exploring the American Village streets with it. It's a great way to enjoy your brew while taking in the sights and sounds.

Visiting around sunset would be even more magical, as you could enjoy the beautiful twilight views over the ocean, adding an extra layer of romance and serenity to your coffee break!

3. What to Order: Zhivago Coffee Menu Highlights

They also offered a good selection of desserts, neatly displayed and looking incredibly tempting! I had just eaten, so I didn't try any, but they definitely caught my eye.

I ordered a warm latte and another beverage. At the time, I was on a babymoon in Okinawa, so I always checked for decaf options at cafes. Unfortunately, Zhivago Coffee Works didn't have any decaf coffee when I visited.

So, I ordered a different drink instead of coffee. (Personally, I found it a bit too sweet for my taste, so it was just okay for me.)

However, I did take a sip of the latte my companion ordered, and it was quite good – smooth and well-balanced. Given its reputation as a latte hotspot, if you're a coffee lover, I'd definitely recommend trying a latte at Zhivago Coffee Works. It's clearly one of their specialties!

I left Zhivago Coffee Works with the strong impression that it's a cafe best enjoyed for its incredible atmosphere and stunning views, even more so than just its drinks. It’s a complete sensory experience!

American Village itself offers a unique blend of ocean views and an exotic, almost Californian vibe, and it was wonderful to experience that same ambiance right from the comfort of the cafe. It truly captures the essence of Okinawa's laid-back charm.

Especially on a beautiful day, sitting on the terrace or by the window, sipping coffee with the expansive ocean view stretching before you, feels like a perfect, relaxing break during your trip. It's the ideal spot to unwind and soak it all in!
