With expansive floor-to-ceiling windows, it’s the perfect spot to unwind and soak in the natural beauty surrounding the ryokan. Donning a traditional *yukata* and posing for photos here is a must! The sophisticated interior design truly sets the stage for complete relaxation.

From modern to traditional open-air baths (*rotenburo*) and even indoor onsens, all fed by the authentic, mineral-rich waters of Noboribetsu – one of Japan's top three onsen towns. You can experience a total of three distinct hot spring areas during your 1-night stay.

massage chairs, as well as water and light refreshments.

After a rejuvenating soak in the therapeutic waters, sinking into a massage chair felt like pure bliss – a little slice of heaven!

3. Elegant Rooms Blending Tradition with Modern Comfort

Noboribetsu Takinoya offers a selection of high-quality rooms that beautifully merge

traditional Japanese aesthetics with contemporary comfort.

You can choose from classic tatami rooms or opt for a more Western-style bedroom with a comfortable bed, catering to your personal preference.

I personally opted for the Japanese-style tatami room to fully immerse myself in the traditional ryokan experience.

Sitting at the low tatami table, gazing out at the serene natural landscape, and enjoying a cold beer or a cup of sake was pure happiness.

Instead of a Western bed,

after dinner, the staff prepare a traditional Japanese futon on the tatami floor. It was surprisingly plush and comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep.

In addition to the communal onsens,

many rooms also feature their own private *hinoki* (cypress wood) bath, offering an even more secluded and intimate relaxation experience.

For breakfast, you'll be treated to a delightful *Yudofu* set meal. Dinner offers a choice between an exquisite Wagyu beef course or an abalone shabu-shabu *kaiseki* multi-course meal.

Often overlooking a beautiful Japanese garden, creating an incredibly serene and intimate ambiance.

Both the Wagyu and abalone courses typically feature around

seven dishes, from appetizers to dessert.

Before dining, the staff thoughtfully inquire about any allergies, and a dedicated attendant provides personalized service, making for a truly comfortable and enjoyable meal.

And the taste? Absolutely superb!

The *Yudofu* breakfast set is a traditional Japanese ryokan meal, beautifully presented with elegant tableware, making it a feast for the eyes as well as the palate.

Most memorably, enjoying this meal while watching a snow-covered landscape outside the window was an experience I'll never forget.

Beyond the meals, the hospitality extends to a delightful welcome drink and dessert upon check-in, efficient luggage service, and impeccable cleanliness of both the onsen waters and guest rooms.
