The absolute highlight of Mahoroba Hotel is undoubtedly its outdoor open-air bath.

While each season offers its own unique charm,

there's nothing quite like soaking in the steamy open-air bath in winter,

and gazing at the snow-covered landscape.

The ambiance is simply unforgettable. 🥹

Thanks to the delightful contrast between the cold winter air and the warm hot spring water,

you'll feel all your fatigue melt away!

It was one of the moments my parents enjoyed most during our trip!

When you check in, you can pick up a yukata

from the first floor

and wear it comfortably when using the hot springs!

Sizes S, M, and L are available in abundance.

When in Japan, you absolutely have to try on a yukata~~

2. 100% Parent Satisfaction! A Hearty Snow Crab Buffet Dinner

One joy that's absolutely indispensable on an onsen trip is dining.

Mahoroba Hotel's buffet restaurant offers

a rich menu filled with Hokkaido specialties such as fresh snow crab, hairy crab, hairy crab nabe, sashimi, and tempura donburi.

The food is clean, and the wide variety of dishes caters well to elderly tastes,

allowing everyone to eat to their heart's content. This made it an absolutely excellent choice for traveling with parents.

Perhaps it's famous as a filial piety hotel,

because there were so many large Korean family groups

traveling here, haha!

After a refreshing hot spring bath, enjoying a cool beer

is truly a slice of heaven ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ!!!!

This moment was so precious and pure bliss....

3. Great On-site Facilities (Arcade)

Inside the hotel, on the first floor, there's a considerably large

arcade (game center) available.

It's equipped with a variety of exciting games like basketball, claw machines, and racing,

making it perfect for enjoying games and creating lasting memories.

The fact that you can have a fulfilling time within the hotel without a single dull moment

is also a huge advantage.

4. Prime Location for Convenient Sightseeing and Shopping

Another significant advantage is the abundance of attractions nearby.

Noboribetsu's iconic 'Hell Valley (Jigokudani)' is

within walking distance,

making it perfect for a leisurely stroll and exploration.

Oh, and there's also a Bear Farm nearby,

so if you have children, definitely pay it a visit!

What's more, right near the hotel, there are convenience stores (Seven-Eleven, Seicomart)

and plenty of souvenir shops, making it super convenient to grab a late-night snack, a refreshing beer, or some treats after a relaxing soak in the onsen.

Thanks to its prime location, we didn't have to stress about our itinerary or

how to get around during our entire trip, allowing us to fully enjoy every moment.

We even strolled around the area in yukata! Haha.

It truly felt like we were experiencing authentic Japan!

There were also so many amazing restaurants and eateries nearby!

Room Type

Japanese-style (Tatami) 10-mat room

The room we booked was a Japanese-style room,

a traditional tatami room!

We truly got to immerse ourselves in an authentic Japanese atmosphere!!

Our family of five enjoyed a cozy and harmonious stay.

In the evening, they cleared away the tables and

laid out the futons for us!!

The futons were incredibly plush and cozy.

Especially since it's a tatami room without beds,

we highly recommend it for families with young children!

There's no risk of bumping into bed frames or sharp corners,

and seeing our baby freely rolling around and playing comfortably in the room

brought us such peace of mind as parents 👶

​

With all that open space to move around,

it's absolutely perfect accommodation for families traveling with children!

When we checked in, we were greeted with welcome tea and pastries!

The view outside the window was wide open,

and we loved that there were no obstructions!
