Hello, Global Explorers! Today we're diving into our LA trip,

where we spent two days at Universal Studios

having an amazing time, and we'll be sharing our experience at the **Universal Studios**

**nearby accommodation, Night Inn at Universal City**, along with

a review of its room conditions and location!

(We think this might be one of the first reviews by a Korean traveler!)

First, when we traveled to LA, we focused on finding value-for-money

accommodation. Since we had a ticket to enjoy LA Universal

Studios for two days,

we really wanted an **accommodation location** that was **within walking distance to Universal, yet also the most affordable**.

The place that met those conditions was

Night Inn at Universal City. To be honest, it wasn't a luxurious hotel,

but frankly, for us, who were just looking for a place to sleep, it was the **perfect budget-friendly gem**!

Thanks to the American-style breakfast, we also saved on food expenses,

and we were really satisfied!

1. LA Night Inn at Universal City: Location, Walking Distance to Universal Studios, and Travel Time

The accommodation we stayed at while enjoying LA Universal Studios

for two days was

Night Inn at Universal City. The **distance to LA Universal Studios**

**is listed as 19 minutes on foot, but it actually felt much closer.**

That's because from LA Universal Studios, it's about a 5-minute walk –

maybe 10 minutes if you take your time –

to reach the LA Universal Studios

subway station. From there, you can catch the

**free LA Universal Studios shuttle**, making it feel much closer in reality!

**Near the accommodation, you'll find In-N-Out Burger – one of America's top 3 burger joints**

**and an incredible value for money.** Even Griffith Observatory, a filming location for La La Land,

is only a 19-minute drive away, making the location very satisfying.

**Just a heads-up, hotels around LA Universal**

**are at least ~$73 more expensive, so keep that in mind!**

2. LA Night Inn at Universal City Hotel: Room Condition, Breakfast & Price Review

I might even be the first to stay at this hotel and write a review like this, or at least it feels that way!

It's such an unknown gem that it's hard to find any Korean reviews on hotel booking platforms.

First off, from a value-for-money perspective,

it was a pretty decent stay in LA.

The room was quite clean, and the bathroom was

well-maintained. However, compared to other

accommodations in the US, the room was a bit small,

and the soundproofing wasn't great, which was a minor inconvenience.

There were babies crying all day long in the room next to ours, LOL!

So, I guess your experience might really depend

on who your fellow guests are!

Oh, and if you're staying at a budget-friendly US accommodation like we did, here's something useful to know:

the showerhead is often fixed to the ceiling, which can be a bit awkward.

It's a good tip to keep in mind, because it's not just budget hotels;

most hotels in the US have these overhead showerheads.. ha!

As someone who's 160cm (about 5'3"), I was quite surprised, so I wanted to share this with you!

Also, while I didn't solely stay at this hotel during my LA trip,

when I stayed near LA's Koreatown, they charged extra for parking... ugh!

It's often the same in Europe where parking is an additional cost,

so it's a good thing to be aware of!

And while the breakfast wasn't anything extravagant,

they did offer coffee and some simple pastries, which was absolutely perfect

for us, as a couple who doesn't eat much for breakfast.

And this is a side note... but why is American maple syrup

so incredibly delicious? I've tried buying all sorts of maple syrup

trying to find that exact taste, but none of them hit the mark.

Anyway, you can walk to Universal Studios Hollywood from here,

and while the rooms aren't luxurious, if you prioritize

value for money, I definitely recommend it!

3. Recommended Hotels Near Universal Studios LA to Consider

First things first, accommodations near

Universal Studios LA are quite pricey...

The Night Inn at Universal City, where we stayed,

is already fully booked. However, if you're on a family

trip or looking for a slightly better room condition,

these are some hotels I'd recommend.

While they are on the pricier side, if you're going all out

for your US trip and want to truly enjoy it, I've shared some

hotels worth considering below, so take a look!
