You can easily pick up any souvenirs you might have missed in the city here.

I've put together a list of my favorite finds, focusing mainly on delicious desserts.

A quick tip: New Chitose Airport's domestic terminal is where all the action is – you'll find a much wider array of attractions, restaurants, and shops compared to the international terminal.

The signage is excellent, so just follow the "Domestic Terminal" signs, and you'll get there in no time.

However, this airport is incredibly vast, so to enjoy your shopping without feeling rushed, I highly recommend arriving at least 4-5 hours before your flight.

Snow Cheese

Snow Cheese is a huge hit, especially among international visitors.

It features a crispy cookie exterior with a rich, creamy cheese filling inside.

Each piece is individually wrapped, making it perfect for sharing, and its elegant packaging makes it a popular gift choice. Be warned: popular items often sell out quickly, so make the Snow Cheese store your first stop!

Shiroi Koibito

Meaning "White Lover," Shiroi Koibito is a beloved Japanese classic: delicate langue de chat cookies with a luscious white chocolate filling.

You'll find the largest store inside the duty-free area, and they often carry special limited-edition packages, so keep an eye out!

This is 'Mifuyu,' a mille-feuille chocolate dessert also from the Ishiya brand. It features layers of delicious flavors like blueberry, caramel, and chestnut.

I highly recommend Mifuyu alongside Shiroi Koibito.

Royce Chocolate

You can't miss the Royce store – it's huge and easy to spot. They offer an incredible variety of chocolates, but I particularly recommend their classic milk chocolate and white chocolate varieties.

Royce chocolates here boast a wider selection and better prices than you'd find elsewhere, making them a consistently popular and safe bet for gifts.

A note on the Chocolate Potato Chips: they're coated in rich dark chocolate, so if you're not a fan of bitter flavors, you might want to skip those!

Torokeru Cake

The Torokeru Baked Cake has become incredibly popular recently! When I visited, it was already sold out.

It has a soft, cake-like exterior and a moist, melt-in-your-mouth interior, truly living up to its name, 'Torokeru' (meaning 'to melt').

Individually packaged for easy carrying, its universally appealing taste makes it a safe choice for any recipient.

Marusei Butter Sand

On the left, you'll see the Marusei Butter Sand, Rokkatei's most popular product. These iconic Hokkaido desserts feature white chocolate, butter, and raisins sandwiched between two delicate cookies.

On the right is the Strawberry Choco White, which you can imagine as a strawberry mochi wrapped in white chocolate instead of glutinous rice. It's also more affordable than the Butter Sand, making it a great option for a casual gift.

Calbee Jaga Pokkuru

These crispy potato sticks are made from Hokkaido-grown potatoes, sliced with their skins on. A pack of 10 goes for about ~$8, which is an excellent deal!

Dassai 23 Sake

If you're looking for something beyond sweets, I highly recommend Dassai 23 sake.

It's renowned among premium Japanese sakes for its impressive 23% milling rate, making it a very popular gift for sake connoisseurs.
