Discover Nero North, a hidden gem hotel near Gili Trawangan's Turtle Point. Clean rooms, free afternoon tea, and easy snorkeling access for under $70/night!

To go snorkeling and swim with the sea turtles,
so many travelers head over to Gili Trawangan.
If you're looking for a great budget-friendly stay
near Turtle Point in the northern part of the island, I highly recommend this place!
It's an incredibly budget-friendly spot for a night,
but the facilities are so clean
and the staff are so friendly
that I was absolutely thrilled with my stay.
I booked a Deluxe Suite for one night, including breakfast,
for just around ~$64.
I've also included a price comparison table below,
so check it out before you book!
Gili Nero North

📍 Nero North
M26M+5V3, Jl. Pantai Gili Trawangan, Gili Indah, Kec. Pemenang, Kabupaten Lombok Utara, Nusa Tenggara Bar. 83352 Indonesia
Check-in: 2:00 PM
Check-out: 11:00 AM
Breakfast: 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM (Can also be enjoyed on the beach right in front of the hotel)
+ Complimentary Afternoon Tea served from 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM
+ Pool open until 11:00 PM
*Since Gili is a motorized-vehicle-free island,
the only ways to get around are by walking or biking.
If you let Nero North know in advance,
they can arrange bike rentals from a nearby shop ahead of time.
I personally booked two bikes in advance via WhatsApp.
It takes a bit of time for them to deliver the bikes,
so I highly recommend confirming and reserving them right when you check in!
(Rental fee: 50k IDR per person)

To get from the harbor to "Nero North,"
you'll need to take a horse cart (especially if you have heavy luggage).
It takes about 10 to 15 minutes.
(They usually ask for 200k IDR, but if you haggle, 150k IDR seems to be the going rate.)

The ride on the horse cart
is absolutely beautiful.

And here is the entrance to Nero North!

On the way to the lobby, you'll see the pool right on your left.
The best part is that it's open until 11:00 PM,
so you can easily squeeze in a night swim after a long day out!

There’s also a separate café,
and plenty of sunbeds, so it never felt crowded or inconvenient.
Once you check in at the lobby,
the staff will personally guide you to your room.

“Deluxe Suite (Garden View)”
- 1 Super King Bed
- Non-smoking room
- Breakfast included

The room didn't feel humid at all,
though the AC was a tiny bit weaker than I expected.
It wasn't uncomfortably hot,
but even on 'turbo' mode, it felt a little on the milder side.

It was a garden view room,
but thanks to the floor-to-ceiling windows,
waking up to that lush, green view felt absolutely amazing.
After waking up, I spent a good while
just watching the sunrise paint the sky outside my window.

Here's the gorgeous morning view I captured!

You can easily swap out the shower filter here.
This is what our filter looked like after just one night...
Seriously, bringing a shower filter to Bali is an absolute MUST! haha

We had our breakfast here in the morning.
If you prefer, you can actually have your breakfast
right on the beach in front of the hotel!
We chose to eat inside this time.

The food was pretty standard, not bad at all! haha
Since breakfast is included at Nero North,
it's super convenient to just wake up and grab a bite without any hassle.

This is the lovely pool view from where we had breakfast.
Waking up to the sound of chirping birds, flowing water, and soft music
made breakfast time feel incredibly peaceful.

Here's the beach right in front of Nero North.
You can swim here
or enjoy your morning breakfast by the waves.
Honestly, every single corner looks like a postcard,
so just sitting there doing absolutely nothing feels like heaven.
If you're lucky, you can even spot sea turtles while snorkeling
right in front of the resort!
We took a quick 5-minute bike ride
over to Turtle Point, and we actually saw them!
Compared to the harbor area, the northern side of the island
seems to have far fewer jellyfish and sea lice (water fleas).
Plus, with Turtle Point being so close to the resort,
I was incredibly happy with my decision to stay in the north.
Since the evenings here are so quiet and peaceful,
if you're looking for a place to truly unwind and recharge,
I highly recommend checking out "Nero North" Hotel in the north!
I did a quick price comparison across different booking sites for the same dates and conditions.

Gili is a motorized-vehicle-free island, so you need to take a horse-drawn carriage to carry your luggage from the harbor to the hotel. It takes about 10 to 15 minutes, and the average fare when negotiated is usually 150k Rupiah.
You can rent a bicycle through a nearby shop by requesting it in advance at Neronos Hotel. Since it takes time to bring the bicycle, it is recommended to book in advance via WhatsApp, and the rental fee is 50k Rupiah per person.
A Deluxe Suite can be booked starting from ~$64 per night. Breakfast is included, and a free afternoon tea service is also provided from 4 PM to 5 PM.
Snorkeling is possible at the beach right in front of the hotel, and Turtle Point, where you can see turtles, is about a 5-minute bike ride away. Since it is located in the northern sea, there are fewer jellyfish and sea lice, making it great for swimming.
