Experience the magic of Mui Ne's sunrise desert tour in 2026! Discover white and red sand dunes, dragon fruit farms, and an unforgettable yellow jeep adventure with a local agency.
Hello everyone!
I'm Susukkottari, your travel blogger.
I recently went on Mui Ne's most popular activity:
the Sunrise Desert Tour! We set off at dawn to explore incredible spots like the White Sand Dunes, Red Sand Dunes, and a Dragon Fruit Farm.
This was hands-down the best value-for-money tour I've ever experienced.
I'm excited to share the special memories we made with friends, riding in a vibrant yellow jeep!

Tour Booking Information

The Mui Ne Desert Tour is incredibly popular,
so I compared prices from several different places.
There were all sorts of options, from private tours offering powder rooms
to group packages, really a wide variety!
After comparing, I ended up booking directly with a local company via KakaoTalk.
I discovered this place while looking into airport pickup services from the airport to Mui Ne,
and since the price was so good, I decided to book the desert tour with them too!

For airport pickup, a group of four usually needs to rent a 7-seater vehicle,
which typically costs around ~$69-76.
I initially booked for ~$75 but then canceled and booked with this company instead.
This company charged 1.6 million VND.
That's a fantastic saving of ~$20!
But instead of a 7-seater, they sent this incredibly spacious vehicle!
Score!

I booked the pickup from Mui Ne to Ho Chi Minh City as well,
and when I asked if they also did desert tours,
they said they handle anything involving vehicles! Haha!
The price for one jeep was 500,000 VND - about ~$17!
This was the lowest price for a private jeep tour for four people; it wasn't a join-in tour.
Everyone, just to be clear, it's not per person, right? I double-checked multiple times!
ATV rides are an additional charge, by the way!~~
How to Book

I booked directly via KakaoTalk.
KakaoTalk ID: bet18092014
Search for Viet Hoang and you'll find them.
Even if you don't speak English well, booking isn't difficult.
For pickup services, you just need to tell them your airport arrival time and your destination.
For the desert tour, simply let them know if you want the sunrise or sunset tour, and your pickup location, and they'll handle the rest of the booking for you.

From Ho Chi Minh Airport to Mui Ne, from Mui Ne back to Ho Chi Minh Airport, and even the desert tour –
I booked everything through this company and was completely satisfied!!
Especially, the large vehicle they sent for the airport pickup was amazing~
And the jeep driver was a total professional photographer!!
He captured some truly epic shots for us.
You can choose the color of your jeep~
Detailed Review of the Tour Course

We chose a yellow jeep,
which was more of a yellow-green? It was such a beautiful shade of yellow, and it picked us up right at our resort.
It's truly a color that pops in photos!
We departed from the resort at 4:30 AM.
1️⃣ White Sand Dunes
The absolute highlight of the Sunrise Tour!

From Pandanus Resort, it took us about 40 minutes to get there,
and it even rained on the way.
I mean, we had two 'weather fairies' with us, how could this be!
But as we got closer to the White Sand Dunes, there was no trace of rain at all!~~

This is a spot you absolutely cannot reach without an ATV.
Two people ride per ATV, and wow~~
It was such a spectacular experience.
They don't drive gently. You'll find yourself screaming with excitement!~~

There were many people waiting for the sunrise.
While we didn't get to see the sun as a perfect circle,
The rosy sky and white sand dunes
They were so incredibly beautiful on their own.

Waiting for the sunrise atop the dunes,
we snapped some photos. If you feel like moving again,
just hop on an ATV.
The ATV you first rode will be dropped off and immediately
heads off. But don't worry, people keep coming
up, so there's absolutely no need to worry!
Since it's sunrise, the light is just phenomenal, right?~

As the day brightens, the White Sand Dunes
start to get even whiter.
So, this is what a desert really feels like...
There's even a dog wandering through the desert! ~~

Jeeps and ATVs, perfect for photo ops!
The desert backdrop looks incredible no matter how you frame it.
It's a sunrise tour, which means it's wonderfully cool and refreshing.

Riding an ATV up and down the sand dunes in the heart of the desert is truly an unforgettable experience.
The sensation of speeding through the wind is absolutely fantastic!
This time, we're heading towards the sea-facing side.
Oh, the exhilarating thrill of speeding down those dunes! ~~

They took individual photos of each of us,
and even helped us with all the perfect poses.
Our guide, who took photos from the ATV,
seemed to be just for us!
After taking all those individual shots, they also captured us together,
and we truly felt like models! ~~

There's also a fantastic photo spot near the exit,
so we snapped away there too. We took endless photos!
2️⃣ Roundabout Photo Spot

This place is absolutely a photo hotspot!!
It's the roundabout that often pops up on Instagram.

It's like a landmark in Mui Ne,
where photos are taken in the center of a large roundabout.
Climbing onto a jeep like this
was a first for me~~ When they told us to stand up,
I was a little shaky~~
3️⃣ Dragon Fruit Farm

Instead of visiting the fishing village, I requested to go to the Dragon Fruit Farm.
As soon as the sun came out, it got hot instantly.
At the dragon fruit farm, we decided to rest a bit while eating dragon fruit and drinking dragon fruit juice~~

The cutie at the Dragon Fruit Farm~ not shy at all.
After enjoying the refreshing dragon fruit and juice,
we explored the farm and found quite a few photo spots~

You can't pick and eat dragon fruit directly here;
it's a course where you tour the farm and then sample the prepared dragon fruit.
Juices are purchased separately.
4️⃣ Fairy Stream

To properly explore Fairy Stream,
it takes more than an hour.
You continuously walk along a stream, but we dallied too long at the Dragon Fruit Farm,
and I realized we'd be late for breakfast. Breakfast is important, you know!!
So, we walked a little and then came out, haha.

The man with the snake around him~~
The ground is soft, but walking along the stream
isn't easy. You leave your shoes at the entrance.
If you walk the entire course, it seems like you'd expend quite a lot of energy.
5️⃣ Red Sand Dunes

The Red Sand Dunes offer a different kind of charm compared to the White Sand Dunes!
It might be smaller in scale, but it's an incredibly beautiful desert.
Once you reach the top, you can see the ocean.
The sight of the sea and desert blending together
was truly picturesque.

Doesn't it look like a scene right out of a postcard?
The clouds, the sky, the red hills,
and even the trees within them all create such a harmonious landscape~~
It feels like stepping right into a postcard!

I even took a panoramic photo.

Just like its name suggests, the striking red sand is impressive,
and the fantastic contrast between the red sand and the blue sky
makes the Red Sand Dunes truly breathtaking~~
6️⃣ Coastal Road Photo Spot (Near Red Sand Dunes)

The first photo you often see in Mui Ne desert tour descriptions?
It's usually taken right here on this coastal road.
I thought we took it after visiting the Red Sand Dunes,
but looking at the time, we actually snapped it before heading there, haha!

This photo with my friends turned out so lovely too~

Our driver went across the road to a higher spot
to capture these shots for us.
There were so many people taking photos around,
but no one was putting in as much effort as he was~~ So grateful~~

Taking photos with the yellow jeep on the coastal road
against the backdrop of the ocean~~
It felt like we captured all the 'once-in-a-lifetime' shots~~
Thanks to our driver's photographer-level skills,
booking with Viet Hoang felt like
the best decision ever!
His angles, composition, and timing were all perfect,
and he took numerous photos while suggesting various poses for us. Everyone was
absolutely thrilled with the photo quality~~
Wrapping Up

Our driver was also a fantastic driver, getting us back to the resort right on time
for breakfast~~
While I do regret spending a bit too much time
at the dragon fruit farm and only getting a quick glimpse of Fairy Stream, a small regret remains~
Waking up super early was challenging, but the sunrise and desert landscapes at the White Sand Dunes,
the thrill of riding in the yellow jeep,
the vibrant red sand of the Red Sand Dunes, and those incredible 'life-shot' photos our driver took...
everything was absolutely perfect.
It's truly unbelievable that we could have such a fulfilling tour
for just ~$17.
If you're heading to Mui Ne, I highly, highly recommend
Viet Hoang, a local company~~~

You can book the tour directly via KakaoTalk ID 'bet18092014' (Viet Hoang). The cost per jeep is 500,000 VND, which is approximately ~$17, and it's a price suitable for 4 people.
The Sunrise Desert Tour departs from the resort at 4:30 AM. From Pandanus Resort, it takes approximately 40 minutes to reach White Sand Dunes.
Using an ATV at White Sand Dunes incurs an additional charge. Without an ATV, it's difficult to reach the deeper parts of the dunes, and you can enjoy a spectacular and thrilling ride over the sand dunes.
Viet Hoang's jeep drivers possess skills comparable to professional photographers. They perfectly capture the angle, composition, and timing, suggesting various poses to help you get the best "life shots."
At Fairy Stream, you leave your shoes at the entrance and walk along the stream. It takes more than an hour to properly see the entire course, and it can consume quite a bit of energy.
