The selection might be cozy, but the taste and atmosphere are absolutely wonderful! The pho is a must-try.

Breakfast at The Clay Resort Mui Ne is served buffet-style.

The restaurant is located right by the beach, offering a gorgeous atmosphere, and the noodle soup (pho) was super satisfying.

In the evening, I also tried their Vietnamese course dinner at the same restaurant. It was such a unique experience getting to try authentic local dishes that aren't always easy to find elsewhere.

The breakfast restaurant sits right on the beachfront, so you can soak in the gorgeous ocean views while you eat.

While the restaurant itself isn't massive, it feels completely open and breezy. It never felt overcrowded, allowing us to enjoy a slow, relaxing morning.

Snagging a table by the window gives you a front-row seat to Mui Ne Beach, instantly putting you in that ultimate vacation state of mind.

There are also outdoor tables facing the ocean, which seemed like the perfect spot to sip on a cup of coffee and listen to the waves after breakfast.

The breakfast is served buffet-style.

They had a relatively wide variety of local Vietnamese dishes on offer.

They had a solid selection of noodle soup, fresh egg dishes, bread, pastries, and fruits. Even though it's not a massive spread, it definitely feels satisfying and well-curated.

The pho was delicious, and making my own banh mi was such a fun and tasty experience!

The Clay Resort is a super popular spot, so rooms tend to book up fast during peak season.

I also decided to have dinner at the resort one night. If you book in advance, they give you a 10% discount on the seafood set menu.

Prices for the dinner set menu start from around 700,000 VND (inclusive of tax) for two people.

I was debating which set to choose, but since I was in Mui Ne, I decided to go for the Phan Thiet Fish Set!

(📍Fun fact: Mui Ne is actually located in Phan Thiet.)

Keep in mind that you need to pay a cash deposit of 300,000 VND in advance when reserving the dinner set menu.

Dinner is served at the same restaurant where breakfast is held.

Here is the Phan Thiet Fish Set that I ordered!

The set menu serves two people and includes the following:

Phan Thiet-style Anchovy Salad

Hong Kong-style Tiger Prawns

Fried Calamari

Stir-fried Beef Noodles

Sour Cobia Fish Hot Pot

Seasonal Fruits

Before the hot pot arrived, they served the stir-fried noodles, anchovy salad, fried calamari, and tiger prawns first.

The squid and prawns had a pretty standard, comforting taste.

It was my first time trying anchovy salad, and wrapping the anchovies and fresh veggies in rice paper created such a unique and delicious flavor combo!

Finally, the hot pot arrived. The portion size was absolutely huge for just two people!

It features a tangy broth made with tomatoes and pineapples, into which you cook fresh chunks of cobia fish. The sour broth paired wonderfully with the white fish.

It was my first time trying cobia fish, and being a white fish, there was barely any fishy smell. It was perfectly rich yet clean-tasting and absolutely delicious.

Though a few dishes were quite new to me, everything was delicious overall. It was so much fun trying new local flavors, making it a super satisfying meal!

While breakfast at The Clay Resort Mui Ne might not have the massive variety of a lavish 5-star hotel buffet,

the food is incredibly clean and fresh. Best of all, you get to enjoy a relaxing meal right by the beach!

Having the chance to try authentic Vietnamese dishes that you don't normally find was the perfect way to fully immerse myself in the vacation vibes.
