Waking up to panoramic ocean views from your bed? Here's our full review of the spacious condo suites at Lotte Resort Sokcho, complete with booking tips.
If you're searching for the ultimate beachfront getaway in Sokcho,
I recently discovered a true gem right on the edge of Oeongchi Beach:
the stunning ocean-view Lotte Resort Sokcho.
Since this trip was all about pure relaxation,
convenience and panoramic water views were at the top of my list!

📌 We stayed in the Condo Suite (~1,174 sq ft).
Complete with breathtaking ocean views, a full kitchen, and a cozy living area,
it's the perfect sanctuary to completely unwind.

When it comes to this resort, location is everything.
It seamlessly connects to Oeongchi Beach,
perched exactly where the coastline juts out into the sea.
I've stayed at many places along the coast, but
for uninterrupted ocean views, this spot is unbeatable.

The resort utilizes a highly efficient self-check-in system.
You receive a mobile notification on your arrival day, meaning
there's absolutely no need to wait in long lines at the front desk.
Just a few taps on the kiosk, and you're good to go!

Before heading up to our room,
we took a stroll along the Oeongchi Beach promenade.
A beautiful wooden boardwalk hugs the coastline,
making it incredibly easy and relaxing to walk along the water.
It wasn't crowded at all,
which perfectly matched the laid-back vibe we wanted for this trip.
Even from within the resort grounds, you can catch stunning glimpses of the ocean at every turn.

The moment we stepped inside,
our eyes were immediately drawn to the ocean view.
Thanks to the massive floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room,
the sea looks like a high-definition painting.
Sit on the sofa, and you're staring right at the horizon.
We easily lost track of time
just sitting there, mesmerized by the waves.

With a living room, full kitchen, two bedrooms, and two bathrooms,
it feels exactly like a spacious residential apartment.
The large sofa, coffee table, and proper dining set
made the space incredibly comfortable and functional.

The primary bedroom features a plush double bed.
Even lying in bed, you look straight out at the ocean.
In the morning, simply opening the curtains
lets the spectacular sunrise flood the room.
I naturally woke up to the sunlight, no alarm needed!

The main bedroom includes an en-suite bathroom and vanity area,
making it feel like you're staying at a wealthy friend's beach house.
This is exactly why the condo-style suites are so popular.
The second bedroom was a traditional Korean Ondol (floor heating) room.
Since it was just the two of us, we primarily used it to store our luggage.
Given the generous capacity,
this suite would be absolutely perfect for a larger family or group of friends.

The overall layout is
a highly sought-after apartment style,
which made our stay incredibly convenient.
Honestly, staying just one night felt far too short.
I could easily see myself living here for a week...

Summer peak season for 2026 is already filling up fast, so options are limited!

I loved that the refrigerator had separate fridge and freezer compartments.
Those mini-fridges in standard hotel rooms barely keep ice cream frozen!
Since this suite allows cooking,
it's fantastic for stocking up on groceries.

Everything from a rice cooker to basic cookware and tableware
is fully stocked.
The main reason we chose the condo style
was so we could buy fresh sashimi from Sokcho Central Market
and enjoy a feast right in our room!
With everything provided,
hosting our own private dinner was a breeze.

Eco-friendly, multi-use shower amenities are provided,
and they are fully stocked in both bathrooms.

The bathrooms are spacious and impeccably clean.
Since there were two of us, we indulged in the
luxury of having our own private bathrooms! Haha.

The next morning, I enjoyed a hot, relaxing soak.
While the Sokcho resort does feature a fantastic traditional Jjimjilbang (Korean sauna),
having a private soaking tub in the room is wonderfully convenient.
If you're curious about the on-site sauna experience,

Before booking any stay,
I always do a quick price comparison across a few platforms.
For this trip, I checked the exact same dates and condo suite
on both Agoda and Trip.com.
Agoda | Trip.com |
Price (Taxes Included) ~$200 | Price (Taxes Included) ~$185 |
Prices on Agoda and Trip.com tend to fluctuate
depending on the exact dates.
I highly recommend checking both before making your final payment!

If you're planning a trip to Sokcho,
don't overthink your accommodation.
Book a place where you can see the ocean the moment you wake up,
snag the best rate, and use the savings for an extra seafood feast!
The condo suites are phenomenal for couples, friends, and families alike.
We rested as comfortably as if we were in our own home!
