An honest review of Loews Hollywood Hotel on Hollywood Boulevard. Discover why this 4-star LA hotel is the ultimate choice for location, comfort, and convenience.
✅️ Perfect for soaking in that iconic Hollywood vibe,
with amazing room conditions, an unbeatable location, and top-tier cleanliness!
It's one of LA's signature 4-star hotels
and a highly recommended stay for honeymooners and families alike:

In November 2025, on an unusually chilly day in LA,
I stayed here completely on my own dime. Here is my fresh, 100% honest review!

First off, after comparing almost every booking platform out there,
I found the absolute cheapest deal right now, which is the one I used.

Hotel Exterior & Surroundings

Loews Hollywood Hotel is
located right at the entrance of Hollywood Boulevard,
making it the perfect base, especially if you're planning a quick getaway in downtown LA!

It's super close to the shopping center you'll inevitably pass while strolling along Hollywood Boulevard,
and famous landmarks like the TCL Chinese Theatre and the Hollywood Walk of Fame
are all within an easy 5 to 10-minute walk.

They offer valet parking, and there's also a parking garage that seems to be shared with the shopping mall.
There's even an Avis Car Rental desk inside,
making it a super convenient option for anyone renting a car.
1st Floor Lobby

Here is the lobby where check-in takes place.
Check-in and check-out times are:
Check-in: 4:00 PM, Check-out: 11:00 AM.

Seeing the queue lines set up,
it looks like it gets pretty crowded during peak hours.
I paid the security deposit with a credit card,
and also received a voucher included in the resort fee.
Since I only stayed for one night, I didn't get a chance to use it,
but most of them seemed to be for a single person.

To the left, there's a concierge desk for luggage storage,
and at the end of the hallway, you'll find the Bodega Cafe.
✅️ I actually used the concierge luggage storage service.
I ended up missing my flight (!), so I had to open my bags multiple times.
Even though they seemed a bit understaffed and things moved slowly, they were incredibly kind and helpful about it,
and I was able to safely store my luggage until late at night in time for my flight.

I didn't get to try the cafe myself,
but in a place where good coffee can be hard to find,
I saw reviews saying their coffee is actually pretty decent!
They also sell bottled water, drinks, and various pastries!

There are seating areas to wait around every pillar,
and from evening onwards, the lobby lounge bar gets super lively!
With happy hour deals, it seems like a popular spot for guests to hang out.
🔽 However, I'm not sure if it's a hotspot for weed deliveries or what...
But day or night, there's a distinct smell of weed lingering near the entrance!?
Honestly, it's probably not just this hotel—it's just a classic LA thing you can't really avoid.
Still, there are security guards, so the safety feels pretty solid.

With 6 elevators in total,
you won’t have to worry about long waits even during peak times.

The digital displays show detailed guides for each floor.
They also have meeting rooms and halls, so it looks like they host group events and private rentals too.

You need to tap your room key to use the elevator.
Here is the directory for each floor.
Unfortunately, due to the weather, I didn't even get to check out the pool... so sad! 😭

Aside from the M Floor (where the restaurant is)
and the 5th Floor Ballroom (which gives you access to the pool and gym),
it looks like floors 6 through 20 are all dedicated to guest rooms.

Standard King Room
Check-in: 4:00 PM
Check-out: 11:00 AM

My assigned room was 2022.
They say if you're lucky, you can get a room with a view of the Hollywood Sign,
but my view of the wide-open Hollywood Boulevard was absolutely amazing too!
Plus, even though I was only staying for one night, I was thrilled to get a room on the very top floor! 😄

A super comfy bed perfect for a good night's sleep,
complete with four plush pillows and a cute accent cushion.

Featuring a work desk, a single armchair, and a mini-table,
the room was much more spacious than I expected.
There was also a full-length mirror on the closet door,
which was absolutely perfect for getting ready and checking my outfit.

Inside the closet, you'll find an iron, ironing board, umbrella,
luggage rack, plenty of hangers, and bathrobes—
it has pretty much everything you'd expect from a 4-star hotel.

There's a TV with a wide variety of channels,
and you can even access hotel info or order food via QR code.

Various hotel guidelines and the room service dinner menu!
I doubt I'd ever actually order room service in the US, haha...
But taxes aside,
the menu prices themselves didn't seem all that different from regular restaurants.

Paid Fiji Water, which at $11 a bottle I probably wouldn't drink unless it was an absolute emergency,
and a Los Angeles travel guidebook.

There's no free bottled water,
but the coffee seemed to be complimentary, so I enjoyed a cup.
In Las Vegas, even coffee came with a fee,
but since there's no extra charge here, you can enjoy it without worry! Haha 😄

You can control the room temperature individually,
and even though the weather suddenly got super chilly, the heater worked like a charm.
One little quirk is the retro, analog vibe of having to find
and flip individual switches for each and every light.

I’ve always found it a bit frustrating that most US hotels I've stayed in don't have a main overhead light,
and this place was no exception.

However, this Loews hotel gets amazing natural light,
and it actually feels quite bright when you turn on all the lamps,
so it wasn't a big deal at all.

The Bathroom

A perfectly sized bathroom to match the room.
The shower, sink, and toilet are nicely separated,
making the space feel surprisingly spacious.

The amenities are all from Julien Farel.
They were so thoughtful to include makeup remover wipes along with cotton swabs and pads,
and the soap even mentions it can be used as a face bar.

There's a lighted makeup mirror,
a hairdryer (also by Julien Farel),
and plenty of bath towels tucked away underneath.
Since they provided three of everything, I'm guessing this was set up as a triple room.

🔽 Just as I was feeling super impressed by all the thoughtful details,
I spotted a rather large dust bunny and
a used towel left under the sink by a previous guest‼️
It honestly looked like a genuine oversight during cleaning, so while it was a tiny bit disappointing, it was totally fine...!

The shower area is completely separated by a raised threshold,
so you can enjoy your shower comfortably
without worrying about water splashing or leaking everywhere!
Even though it's a fixed showerhead, the water pressure was incredibly strong, which I loved.

The body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and bath soap are also all
Julien Farel products.
My boyfriend, who is a huge bar soap fan, was absolutely thrilled
that they provided actual bar soap alongside the body wash.
The Room View

Since we arrived quite late, let’s kick off with the night view.
You get a peek of the shopping mall and Hollywood Boulevard,
with a glittering city view stretching out.
I happened to look outside and caught a fireworks show!
Maybe it was coming from Universal Studios...?

Now for the daytime view! It rained cats and dogs the day before,
but LA finally showed us its beautiful, clear skies on our last day... ^^
Maybe because there aren't many tall buildings around,
we got a completely unobstructed, wide-open view from the 20th floor, which was the top floor of the hotel.

Truth be told, one of the main reasons I booked this hotel was the pool...
but because of some unprecedented, suddenly cold and rainy weather,
I didn't get to swim even once, either in LA or Las Vegas. So sad! 😭

At least I got to soak in that classic California vibe
I'd always dreamed of, right up until the moment I checked out,
thanks to this wide-open, breathtaking view!

A shopping mall featuring Oakberry, Ben & Jerry's, Cold Stone, Sephora, and more—
which was in full holiday-prep mode—
is just a quick 2-minute walk away!

❤️ Thoughtful amenities, great water pressure, perfect climate control, and a cozy room
