Latteoreyo Sokcho 2026: Unique Gelato with Local Korean Flavors
On your next Sokcho adventure, treat yourself to Latteoreyo's artisanal gelato, made with fresh, local Gangwon-do specialties. Their signature potato gelato is a surprisingly delightful must-try!

Hey there, fellow adventurers! It's Toffee, your go-to travel enthusiast, always ready for a spontaneous escape.ᐟ
With the weather heating up lately, I've been craving cool, sweet treats. So, today I'm excited to share my experience from a recent trip to Sokcho, where I visited a spot considered a must-try on any Sokcho itinerary: 'Latteoreyo'.

Located near Sokcho's Yeongnangho Lake, Latteoreyo greets you with its charming exterior the moment you arrive. It's got that perfect vibe for snapping some adorable photos right outside the shop!
I'd often seen this place while exploring Sokcho, and I was thrilled to finally visit!

Given that gelato is typically a quick-serve dessert with a high turnover, the shop's interior is relatively small.
It doesn't seem designed to accommodate many people, and there are no traditional tables. Instead, you'll find blue chairs inside, similar to the ones seen outside, offering a cozy spot to enjoy your treat.

Perhaps that's why many customers choose to get their gelato to go!
After ordering our gelato at the kiosk, I took a moment to look around the shop and noticed some adorable decorations that really showcased the owner's thoughtful touch.

Every poster and piece of decor beautifully reflects Latteoreyo's philosophy of capturing 'the taste of Gangwon-do.'

Finally, our family's gelato order arrived! The presentation was absolutely adorable and charming, making us all smile.
When you choose two flavors, they thoughtfully add a tiny extra scoop of a third flavor on your spoon, allowing you to sample another taste. It's such a cute and heartwarming detail!💕

This is Latteoreyo's signature 'Potato Gelato', featuring a popular combination of potato gelato + pepper.
At first, I was a little puzzled and amused by the idea of pepper sprinkled on gelato, but the sharp, clean taste of the black peppercorns actually provided a surprisingly unique and delicious counterpoint. It's truly a special treat!

If you visit Latteoreyo in Sokcho, you absolutely have to try their signature Potato Gelato!

Since there were many of us, it was great to sample a bit of everything: chocolate lemon swirl, blueberry pistachio, and even mugwort.
Every flavor tasted natural and had a distinctive sweetness that wasn't overpowering. If you're not a fan of overly sweet desserts, you'll find these delightfully enjoyable.

Visiting this Sokcho gelato gem after a meal and a stroll along the beach, just as our energy was starting to dip, felt like the absolute best decision!
Enjoying a cup of chewy gelato while soaking in the refreshing sea breeze sounds like the perfect way to unwind and truly heal.
I highly recommend adding a scoop of Latteoreyo to your Sokcho travel itinerary!☺️
