My latest adventure is taking me to Laos!

It’s always an exciting feeling to finally be on your way to a new destination.

After a morning at work, I rushed straight to Incheon International Airport.

I knew my heavy winter coat would just be extra baggage, and though I initially planned to leave it at the office, it was just too chilly!

So, for the first time ever, I decided to use a coat storage service called ‘Mr. Coatroom’.

It was super easy to find, located right after you get off the Airport Railroad Express, and they often have various promotions and discounts, which made it even better for my budget!

I paid ~$6 for 6 days of storage, and it was such a relief not to have to carry my bulky coat or cram it into my suitcase. It definitely took one worry off my plate.

Plus, Mr. Coatroom isn't just at Incheon Airport's Terminals 1 and 2; they also have locations at Gimpo Airport, Seoul Station, and Hongdae Entrance Station. Highly recommend it! :3

Even with limited time, I made sure to squeeze in some duty-free shopping and, of course, snap a photo with Line Friends' Choco. It’s become a fun tradition this year! Looking back, my pants were a bit much, haha.

Finally, it was time for takeoff! I tried to capture some photos, but it was a night flight, so everything was just too dark.

And naturally, we celebrated with a chicken and beer combo! LOL.

Honestly, it was incredibly cramped and uncomfortable. I felt like a chicken packed into a coop!

And even though it's been a while since they changed this, it still feels cheap that they don't offer complimentary drink service. Is it really that hard to offer a glass of juice on a five-hour flight?

I really dislike that you have to pay for everything, from drinks to snacks. Despite my complaints, we still ended up spending about ~$21 on food alone during the flight, lol.

We landed at Vientiane Airport, the capital of Laos, at 11:35 PM. From there, we had a late-night van booked with a service called 'Laos Chulsu's' to take us directly to Vang Vieng.

The late-night van cost ~$15 per person, and if you arranged it in advance, you could also get currency exchanged and purchase a local SIM card through them.

We each bought a 10GB SIM card and requested a currency exchange for $200. (The exchange rate at the time was 8,570 KIP per dollar).

At the airport, you just follow the sign that says <Vang Vieng Chulsu's> and hop into the van.

After a short ride, we arrived at Chulsu's office, where we received our SIM cards and the exchanged KIP.

The 10GB SIM card actually came as two 5GB coupons, each valid for 3 days. This meant I'd have to register the second coupon after three days of use.

Swapping out the SIM card and following the simple instructions to activate it was a breeze! Even for someone like me, who isn't the most tech-savvy, it was super straightforward. Anyone can do it! ^__^

Then, we embarked on a wild four-hour drive to Vang Vieng. And I mean *wild*. I honestly thought the driver was crazy!

The road conditions were surprisingly worse than some places I've experienced in South America, and it was quite a painful ride, to be honest. Ugh!
